Don't Go to Las Vegas Without It
This newest edition arrived the day it was released. I have bought earlier editions of this book and one of the author's books on Disney World. This book provides time-saving, frustration-reducing, and money-saving information I have never seen else where. I refuse to go to Las Vegas or Disney World without the appropriate Unofficial Guide.

Only LV book I have, and filled the need
Got this because the Kindle version I had was a few years old, and no Kindle version of the newer release was available. Honestly, there was little changed from the older release, and I never even finish the new print copy. I'd already re-read the Kindle version I had bought before, I checked out a few sections in the new book, and didn't feel like there was much/enough new to warrant reading any of it again. If you don't have an earlier version, then it's highly recommended. Lots of really good insight into LV. Take review points with a grain of salt. We stayed at Bellagio, and my wife used the spa. She really loved it. The books makes it sound their Spa isn't the best. Maybe not, but it was great for us. But on a relative basis, I think the guide gives good insight and help make decisions on where to spend your time.

This book is up to date for this year. ...
This book is up to date for this year. The information is quite helpful, especially for first time visitors. Even my husband, who does things himself, read and used the book. The advice saved us lots of time and the reviews within the book were on target for us. Whatever we did in Vegas came from the suggestions in the guide; when we went against the guide, the guide, we discovered, was right. But, this is not a pocket book to LV. This book is Big and Heavy! and we took it anyway.

... our first trip a few months ago and so glad I did
I read this book cover to cover before our first trip a few months ago and so glad I did! Some of our favorite things were off the beaten path so we wouldn't have known about them had it not been for this book. I really liked that the book also gave some history/back story of the hotels. Vegas can be intimidating for a first-timer but this book told us exactly what to expect.

Required reading for first time visitors
The reason it's unofficial is that it tells you what you need to know and not just tourism hype. You'll need an updated copy as Las Vegas changes faster than the wind!

Great Book; Late delivery
Absolutely fabulous book to give you what you need to know before a trip. Great detail, easily understood and well organized.Only problem is that it came late. I pay for Prime and love it. But if the USPS can't stick to the delivery schedule, something needs to be done. My "guaranteed delivery date" begins to have no meaning.

Great book, but some inaccuracies
Some of the information it contained was inaccurate, but all in all I found the book helpful, generally informative and at times entertaining. I actually had bought a prior edition (1992) years ago when I first went to Las Vegas. Having been quite a few years since my last visit, I figured I should get an updated copy, particularly given how much the city changes over time. I would recommend the book to anyone planning a trip to Las Vegas and looking for guidance.
