Good value pets for your collection; does not have a drain (if matters to you)
Wonder pair of tea pets. They are made of traditional clay pet materials, and ours have started to grow in luster after some usage. Feel like it's worth pointing out that if you are going to use these pets traditionally in gongfu style; that with these, their mouths are designed open and thus they actually retain some liquid content. Other pets out there (even ones akin to these) are available where no liquid is "consumed" that isn't drained out. These pets have no drain in the bottom, so you'll either need to ensure you're using hot enough water/tea for it to evaporate or absorb, or you'll need to turn them over and drain them out each time. The "coins" are free-spinning and held in mouths by a thin piece of metal -- I think if you knocked something too hard against them you may risk breaking the coin loose, but have not had any issue with this.If you're just looking for some fun tea pets to put around your tea area, this couple is a nice addition.

Great addition to teatime
I adore them! My 1st purchase was the single lucky toad teapet with the strands of coins down his/her back. He/she is thrilled to have this charming couple join us. I completely agree! They are so engaging, sometimes I think they are grinning right at me. I take their care and feeding quite seriously. I look forward to many, many shared cozy teatimes.
