Nothing is perfect about cracking chestnuts! That being said, this product is well worth the price I paid for it. I boil my chestnuts and then use a sharp knife to cut a slice of the hull away. Then I use the Chestnut Sheller to gently squeeze the shell away from the meat inside the shell. Sometimes it works beautifully; sometimes the meat comes out in pieces. At any rate, I love the taste of chestnuts. I especially love them in Thanksgiving Dressing and/or Christmas dressing. YUM! Chinese Chestnuts are so much tastier than the water chestnuts you buy in cans.

Expected more from Korean-made product but the plastic jaws broke after moderate use.

I lost mine so I got this as the price is most affordable. I was a bit worried because of a negative review, but I kind of was able to overcome because I already used this before and understand what can be an issue and work around. After receiving it, I don't have any issue. It works like my previous one. That's all I need. Much better than peeling hard chestnut with a knife.

I very pleased with this nut cracker

These are very dangerous and poorly constructed. In an effort to retain all of my fingers, I won't be using these again. The inner grip pinched my hand so hard it is bleeding.
