I've been a daily user of caffeine gum for over 15 years and this is the best brand to date. The consistency of the gum is much better than other brands (the military one) which string out and leave tiny chunks between your teeth. Taste wise it's very close to regular spearmint gum. Bitterness is very minimal and well hidden in the flavors. Remember, caffeine is naturally bitter so you should expect a little bitterness from any brand at this dosage

Nice little zip of caffeine to help get through the day. The wife and I will chew on these while at the gym. Taste is pretty good. Maybe slightly bitter, but I feel like that's the caffeine. Overall we love these things!

I'm another person coming from previously using Military Energy Gum that seems to be no longer available on Amazon or directly from their site. I've been using MEG for over a decade or more. I don't know why but the last couple times i've tried to purchase they seemed out of stock or completely unavailable and this time there's no notice on the site about what is going on, so it's good to have a backup plan.MAAX caffeine gum is not the same, but it is a reasonable alternative at a similar price point. The ingredients and order of ingredients is nearly identical to MEG. The flavor is not quite the same but very close. I've only had a couple of pieces; I can't imagine the consistency is going to change in the 125 piece bag I purchased, and honestly I have to say this might be a good permanent replacement for MEG, especially if MAAX doesn't flake out and go out of stock like MEG has done multiple times for months at a time.PROS:+ Gum is about the same size.+ Gum is slightly softer than M.E.G. (and the hard candy shell isn't as crunchy when first chewed).+ Gum is also less grainy than M.E.G and doesn't feel like it sticks to the teeth as much after chewing for a while.CONS:- Flavor isn't as spearminty as the spearmint M.E.G. right at first, but also seems like the flavor may last a bit longer. It's hard to tell. I figured I'd list it but it could also just be confirmation bias since i'm looking at a different package and trying to look for differences.

I was given a piece of gum to try from a friend. It worked so well I bought the pack a few minutes later. The flavor is true to spearmint. In my opinion, I never taste the bitterness but it does tend to firm up after 10 minutes or so.I couldn’t tell you how long the energy lasts, but I will say it kicks in fast. If you struggle waking up in the morning take a few chews of this and you’ll jump out the bed. Also, most energy drinks as well as coffee doesn't work for me. So it’s nice that this product does give me a boost when needed.Lastly, the packaging the gum comes in is resealable. Everything about Maax caffeine gum is very convenient for people on the go. If you’re in the market for some extra energy look no further.

I usually get Rev Gum, but the delivery time seemed too long so I tried this one. It tastes awful. Starts out okay, but then quickly devolves into an unpleasant nicotiney coughey meds taste bomb. It gave me and my daughter a stomach ache. Like mildly queasy. It's just a no from me daawwgg.

This caffeine gum provides a great amount of energy, similar to other caffeine gum but the flavor can be a bit bitter. The bitter taste comes after about 2 minutes of chewing but tends to dissipate after a while. Besides that, the gum is a great value for its money and I will definitely be buying this gum going forward.

The initial taste wasn't terrible, but the after taste was absolutely horrific. It was so bad if fact that I only kept it in to get the effects, spat it out, and grabbed a normal piece of gum. The effects of the gum kicked in roughly half and hour later, and hit all at once. I feel that it may be too much caffeine to consume all at once. Another thing, I wish they were individually packed as opposed to a bag of loose pieces.

Does the job in terms of caffeine but there is a horrible aftertaste that kicks in after just a few minutes of chewing.
