It's handy to be able to take food to lunch and heat at my desk. I cook a lot at home and usually bring leftovers in. This thing works well, and it's large enough to carry 2 full lunches, easily. I'm not exactly sure why there is a plastic case inside. I didn't read the details. It gets HOT. Enough to cook your food more. Takes 30 minutes or so for the average amount I bring in. I would be happy if there was a lid for the insert, so I could just carry that part back and forth. Having extra inserts would be nice too. I don't always get it washed right away, so it would be nice to have 2-3 in case dishes aren't cleaned. But, for the money, it's a steal.

I love this thing. I plug it in about an hour or half hour before my lunch and then I have a very hot lunch. I got one for my daughter because between school and work it is hard to find time to eat. She can just plug this in her car and eat a warm meal on the go

First of all I want to say that this lunch box has been a godsend for me. I'm a dump truck driver therefore I don't have time to microwave my meals I bring from home or the facilities to do so. This lunch box has given me the opportunity to bring food from home and have a nice hot meal at lunch time. It does take a little bit to get the meal nice and hot, but I can usually plan out when to plug in my lunch box so that it's hot when I can sit and eat it. Now for the cons. There's really only two flaws I have found with this lunch box. One, there isn't a lid for the metal pan that sits inside the lunch box and holds your food. You can't put the lunch box as a whole in the fridge so when I prepare and store my meals the night before I have to find a way to cover the bowl to keep the food fresh before I put it in the lunch box. Secondly, the lunch box carrier is pretty flimsy and not very well insulated. It also looks like it will tear very easily so you'll have to be careful with that. All-in-all, I highly recommend it because it's definitely worth it for the price. Being able to have a hot meal on the job to without access to a microwave is wonderful.

Works perfect for husband to take warm lunches to work instead of a sandwich. He just starts it 30 mins before he eats and the food is warm. There is one big plate , nothing separated so if you don’t like food touching it might not be the best or you can separate with Tin foil.

I got this for my husband for Christmas as he was driving a truck and he absolutely loved it. He would turn it on and let it heat up while he drove to his destination and then he could eat it. It has its own bag which made it easy to carry. It’s very lightweight and never leaked out. It even comes with a fork and spoon with a built in compartment so you never have to worry about not having utensils. It was easy to clean as the tray comes out of the container. Great value for the price!

Ok so the item functions as it's supposed to it warms of food doesn't stick portable and works well In the car or in the office Negative 2 stars because the item arrived broke.. the handles were disconnected & could not be reattach he's -you can not lock the food container unless it is covered by the base.. so don't food prep and expect to safely maneuver the container - them -anorther issue is the carrying bag is so small nothing more than the container fits or else the zipper breaks
