I purchased this for doing random testing in the work place. the initial trial was me at home, no alcohol, 1 glass of whisky then two glasses of whisky. the results seemed to be about what i would expect, it also indicated how long it would take for all alcohol to dissipate from your body.so far we have complete around 100 test with the unit and so far it seems to be performing very well.i would recommend this product from personal reassurance to higher frequency use such as what i made the purchase for.the disposable tubes are also individually packed for hygiene purposes. the whole package is easy to use, compact and highly recommended by me.

very good and perfectly working gadget. Invaluable when you on driving holidays in Europe while enjoying local wine with friends in the evening. The fact that you can change the country, and the list is endless, in order to adjust the limit is a feature I have never seen before. It could have been a little bit cheaper but even paying £250 is worth not being arrested for DUI. I would highly recommend it when traveling abroad, as police there are not as nice as UK ones and they stop you for a routine sobriety check very often.

Product is very easy to use, I bought this instead of the cheaper models because I wanted the accuracy. This unit comes with the same sensor as the police breathylsers so that gave me confidence that this should work.It certainly does, once you've input the date, time, language and country, you're good to go.You can change the units of measurement to your desire, whether it is blood alcohol or breath alcohol. If you're traveling abroad you can change to that particular countries limits.It's fairly easy to use, just slide the top open, and wait roughly 20 seconds, during that time the unit will give you information regarding when is the best time to test after drinking and how alcohol levels in the body can change over time.This came with 100 blow tubes, and they are individually wrapped, so simply take one out and insert into the blow hole, you don't need much force it gently goes in.The screen tells you blow pressure and volume so you give the best sample possible. The result is given to you almost instantly.If it does read alcohol from your sample it's displayed in your chosen measurements, and a traffic light system will change the colour of the background according to the level found, so green would mean little no alcohol, amber would be significant and to be cautious and red would mean you are over the chosen limit. It also gives you an approximate time of when you are sober, i.e. when the alcohol should've left your system and to retest, you can tell the unit to remind you with a bell icon on the right side of your result which will set an alarm for you to retest.So yes I was very impressed with this breathylser as I drive for a living, it's a nice tool for the next morning to make sure you are all clear, very impressed with the ease of use.

Overall, I am really pleased with the AlcoSense Ultra and would highly recommend it! My only gripe, hence the dropping of one star is the fact that as a Mac user, I'm unable to use the software to connect and download to my Mac as it's only available for Windows users. This also includes any updates to the product, of which in this case you have to send the device back to AlcoSense for them to update it for you. I don't know how often updates are released, but this is a little frustrating, especially for what I would class as a premium product. I really hope this is something that will be addressed in the near future. The case could also do with being a little bigger as you can only fit a couple of spare blow tubes in.That said, the product itself is excellent and I wouldn't let the above put you off! But until it caters for the Mac user, I can't award it 5 stars!!
