Perfect for '04 Acura TSX w/Navi - easily self-installable
If you have the '04 Acura TSX, search no more. This is the device that will work and it is extremely simple to install on that particular model. If your TSX is 2005 on up, the iSimple device (ISIM73) might work for you; but I could not get that to work with my 2004 TSX (purchased early in the 2003 model year, always wondered why it wasn't called the "2003" TSX). You actually have two Blitzsafe products to choose from - this one and the version customized for Apple products. I wanted this for my iPhone and an iTouch, but thought the MP3 connection would open it up to more devices, so I went with this version. The only thing I gave up by not going with the other version was the ability to charge my device while it is connected. From the reviews it is evident that many Honda radios can be really difficult to reach, but that is definitely not the case with the '04 TSX with or without Navi. Do a little searching on the internet and you will find lots of instruction on how to pop out the storage bin right below your radio. Use a small mirror to locate the white plug attached to the bottom of your radio, carefully unplug it, then follow the simple instructions to connect up the Blitzsafe. I drilled a small hole in the back of the plastic bin and fed the adapter cable through it (you will have to purchase this separately <$3). Put the bin back in place and you're done. You can keep the excess cable coiled up in the bin, and your device as well; or feed enough cable out so your device can rest in the cup holder. It is that easy. No professional install required, at least not for the TSX.If the volume is a tad bit low, just crank up the volume on the iPhone you will find it to be more than adequate. You access this by tapping the mode switch on your steering wheel until you get to "CD-" or just hit the "CD/AUX" button on the bottom of your radio once or twice. The volume switch on your steering wheel works normally, but that is all the functionality you are going to get there. You select whatever you want to play straight from your device.

Awesome sound! After trying several sets of cables.
I freaking love this thing. It took me 20 minutes to install and reassemble the car parts. I'm getting crystal clear sound quality and now I can listen to my music in my car without having to burn cds to accomplish that.I am really happy with this product. However, I did encounter something peculiar. Your sound quality depends highly on the RCA cable you use. You may be thinking, No DUH! But here is the weird part. I tried a high quality $30 set of cables and the sound quality was awful. It echoed like crazy. You'd think that with high quality cables it would sound amazing. That is not the case. I tried a $9 set from Radio Shack and got a lot of white noise. I have to admit that at this point I was about to return it and curse the day I bought it. Then I tried a third set of cables. A four dollar off brand set I had purchased a few years back. I plugged it in and the sound was amazing. No feedback, no white noise, no echos like the expensive set. It sounds and works amazing now. You'll enjoy this product but make sure you find the right cables to go with it. It makes a big difference.

poor quality wiring
I was so excited to have a aux input in my Honda Accord. I installed this myself using youtube videos as a guide. I plugged in the Blitzsafe to verify it was going to work. It did. The sound quality aside from being a little low in volume, sounded good. So I proceeded to unplug the unit so I could route the wires all nice and tucked up out of the way and put the dash back together. Then the unit didn't work at all! WTH!!!! Pull the dash back apart and discover one of the wires in the 14 pin connector of the Blitzsafe was loose. OK, no big deal, probably came loose when I unplugged it. So I shoved the brass connector back in to the plug and reconnected the product. Before I put the whole dash back together I wanted to make sure the Blitzsafe was all good. I gave it a few shakes and the sound started to cut in and out. Like another reviewer noted, the main unit of the blitzsafe feels very cheap. You can hear parts inside it rattle around. The wires that come out of the unit are not secured, they just exit out of a oversized hole. The wire guage that is used on the rca connectors is super thin. Overall I am very disappointed in this product. If the company would have invested a little more quality into the wiring I believe it would have been an excellent product. As this is supposed to be installed in a car that will have vibration and road bumps I do not trust that it will be dependable and am sending it back for a refund.

Worked fine... For a while
Worked great for about 3 months. It now emits a high pitched background noise that isn't loud, but is pronounced and annoying when listening at low to medium volume... I would be happy with a replacement, because i have had a better experience with another unit made by the same mfg(blitz) for an audi. Too bad it stopped working after the return window.

Not completely satisfied with product, but it was only option.
I have a 2006 Honda Accord. You know that feeling you get when you pick up an electronic device and it feels like its about to break? Well, this product is like that, very light and it feels flimsy. It installed just fine, have had no problems like others have described of it not being recognized (knock on wood), but my biggest beef is that I have to have the volume on my car and phone all the way up to 40 (100%) in order to have it the same volume as say, 18/40 on the cd player. Now I have to look into some kind of amplifying device. I have tried it with my phone and with my friends phones, and they all put out the same results. Don't get me wrong, I assume it would be fine for the average listener or old people, but if you want to rock out and get your speakers to BUMP, then you won't be satisfied. I was unhappy when I realized this was the only option I had, as I would absolutely not buy this product if there was ANY other device, especially one that was louder. It does the trick, but it's just a lot of effort and money for semi-decent results. For 75 clams I would expect a lot better of a product, I think they are taking advantage of it being so specialized.
