Don’t waste your money. It says it’s compatible with various remotes but even after trying the DIP switches in every position, this still didn’t work. For a refund, but the refund was short. Seller didn’t respond.

Works right away when the code is synced to the fan! I'm very happy to have found this.

I only had to program this remote (not the ceiling fan too) because I already had 1 old remote which I opened to copy the same pin arrangement in the new remote, then put in an A23 battery, and it works! I used the wall mount holder to put it on wall to act as a light switch. I am ordering a 2nd one so the holder can be mounted on a different wall as my old remote is missing the holder. Love it!
