Miniatronics Corp 25' 2-Conductor Flat Mini Wire, Black, 28 Gauge

Small gauge 2 conductor wire is hard to find, model train hobby has a great need for small wire with good capacity, you see it all the time in locomotives, carefully made without too much insulation so wire can pass easily through narrow areas and still have enough copper inside to carry current without over heating. I use this all the time in my trains and on my layouts, at least on the smaller scales. I had a very hard time finding suitable wire and this is the best.

The cable is decent, but it's way overpriced for 25', and it took weeks to get it. Has anyone found a better source for low voltage 28awg stranded 2-conductor in black?Edited - I think it's horribly overpriced BUT I haven't found anything better. So perhaps it's unfair to only give it 3 stars only because of that gripe. It is nice wire. I upped it to 4 stars. PLEASE lower this price a bit, this is ridiculous.

Very good quality wire. I use this wire to wire low voltage (5 and 12 volt) LED strips. It has plenty of capacity for the task and it is very easy to solder onto the thin copper terminals on the LED strips.

Insulted stranded wire just like you find running from transformers to decorative lights.

Finding 2-Conductor wire this small was very difficult. When I finally located this stuff it was a dream come true. I have used it for both speaker wire and low voltage 3.3V power wire. Strips and solders great!

Nice spool of 2 conductor 28 gauge wire. I threaded it though a model I was building to provide power to an LED. Pretty strong because I pulled hard to pass through the model body.

Very thin wire that can be used to replace the wire in headphones.

Good gauge for a small wire. Worked great for running the alarm wires inside of window jams.
