Does this measure paint thickness on plastic? Ex. Car bumpers

The ultrasonic thickness gauge cannot measure coating thickness.

Does it measure through paint or other coatings on metal surfaces? Like propane cylinder wall thickness.

Yes it should as long as it's a smooth surface and the paint isn't overly thick

Can this gauge measure a dft coating thickness on wood? (lacquer, paint, polyurethane, etc.)
