4 stars pending field trial during week of golf in Florida. Got the rangefinder within 8 hours of ordering (gotta love Prime). Tried it at home (shooting objects around the neighborhood) and was ready to return it, since the distances seemed WAY off. Decided to give it a shot at a local heated driving range, where I know the distances and I’m glad I did (for now at least). The unit picks up the flags pretty quickly and I had no problem locking on them even at ~250 yards.Update: more like 4.5/5, but I’ll give it 5 due to price. Got to play few rounds in sunny Florida and I’m quite happy with the results. The distances were pretty spot on (confirmed by playing partners using high end Bushnells and Leupolds). Sometimes, if you shoot the flag repeatedly, the distances given will differ by 1-2 yards, but for a weekend hacker or a serious amateur, it probably won’t/shouldn’t make a difference.

I got this item for my husband for golf, and I didn't know that his bring this item for hiking at Valentine's day . And he tell me that It is very light and well built. Very easy to operate with just two buttons: one button for power on and also activate the measurement, and another button to select between three modes and yard/meter scales. The three modes are: Distance, Flag and Speed.

Worked pretty darn well for a rangefinder under $150. Had no issues finding yardage to pin under 200 yards. I would even do three different reads at the same pin and it would come back within a yard every time so it is very consistent. I would recommend this to someone who golfs regularly and doesn’t want to spend a ton of money on a rangefinder. Great purchase, hoping that it lasts for years to come.

I bought this with high hopes of replacing my Nikon hunting rangefinder with one having flag-seeking and slope correction features. As the pricing looked attractive, I decided to give the Wosport 1000 a trial.I tested the unit shooting at stop signs, street light poles, and garbage cans located up and down my street at distances from 20 to 180 yards. I compared the readings with my Nikon hunting rangefinder (that I know is accurate from more than 8 years of use and comparison with course markers and GPS readings). Sometimes the Wosport unit read the same; at other times it was wildly inaccurate - e.g. reading 120 yards when actual distance was 170 yards. This was when shooting the fairly highly reflective aluminum back of stop signs and the flat sides of garbage bins! This inconsistency would give me no end of problems on the golf course - I have enough of those already.I thought the problem might be that the battery supplied with the unit was weak. I tried brand new Eveready CR2 lithium batteries, but the unit still gave erroneous readings.This unit is not for me. Returning for refund.UPDATE: My return and refund were processed without any problems.

Got this for some minor engineering projects with the school where measuring distances is part of the process. This was cheaper then other more complicated rangefinders, but still performs the exact same. Fits well in the hand and the included lanyard makes it safe to use almost everywhere. The case that it comes with closes magnetically so no zippers or velcro to break. Ill probably have to learn gold eventually to get the most out of it, as its built in flag finder and speed function is pretty neat.

Love this range finder. It picks up the flag easy. No worries about your partners waiting for you to range the flag. A quick click and you have your distance everytime. It will pick up a flag very easy.. farther out than any of us can hit a fairway wood, longest I recall picking up a flag was roughly 280 yrds. I'm sure it will pick up farther, there's just no need, I can't hit a fairway wood over 300 yards. I even use it on my drives to range back to the tee box, great for letting you know exactly how far your driving. Automatically turns off quickly for battery life. Play almost every weekend, had it for roughly 6 months, and batteries are still good. Small and compact, attaches to my bag easliy. Good buy, if your thinking about it, do it, you'll be happy with it.

So when you are golfing how good are you at judging distance? Can you tell if that is 60 yards or 75 yards? Well that can be a huge difference if you can not easily drain 45 foot puts. This range finder really helps with making those club decisions and not having to second guess your distance or look for a maker on a sprinkler head. It is really well made and I look froward to using it for many years to come. Don't try to guess be sure with a great range finder.

I was skeptical how well this worked. This range finder is awesome. Just started playing golf and not familiar with judging distances by eye. Great learning tool. Gonna take this with me to go hunting too. I can get multiple uses from this item.

Went golfing this past weekend to give this a shot and wow is it ever accurate. My friend has a more expensive other model and after comparing, they were 1 yard apart. I think I got the better bang for my buck. Apart from this, the device works very well and vibrates when you lock into the flag making it easy to indicate when it is reading the distance. I love that it adjusts for slope and it comes in a nice bag with a magnetic closure. It fits in hand well and it’s too bulky. By using this alone, I shot my best score this season (4 over Tiger in his prime). All jokes aside, this product works fantastic and compared to others, does the job at a fraction of the price. Highly recommended to the golf enthusiasts out there wanting to up their game.

Not had it for long, but so far found it very good considering this is a budget range finder compared to other brands. It might not be the nicest design but I bought this to tell me the distance to the flag and various hazards, not to win fashion week. Reliability might be an issue but not owned for long enough (2 months), but no glitches or concerns so far and battery life looks strong. Does what it says on the tin!

Very good for price. Accurate enough in comparison to very expensive range finders.

It is a value for money item which does the job I need it for perfectly..
