Hohem single axis gimble
This gimble is easy to set up. Instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Pairs easily with phone. There’s an app you can download that includes some preset automatic operations. This gimble also functions as a tripod although it’s not very steady with the weight of my phone. The tripod legs don’t lock or anything so you just have to balance it just right. The box says it includes a charging cable but there wasn’t one with mine. Takes a usb-c which I already had so that’s ok I guess. It also has a small removal remote that’s handy to have and operate the camera/gimble. It has tracking and rotation options but haven’t used those functions yet. The steadiness of the gimble is just ok, nothing fantastic but decent for the price point. Think I would opt for the 3 axis gimble next time.

First Gimbal Experience
The media could not be loaded. This is my first gimbal. I researched gimbals and this was a pretty decent one that had both pitch and roll axis. I could have gone with a three axis one, but from what I understood, for the purpose of my photography, which is basic tourist related photos and video, I didn’t need it. Plus, it would have been more expensive, and I’m an amateur photographer and didn’t want to invest in an expensive piece of equipment. I used this during a trip to Japan and worked decently. It was nice to reduce walking and shaking while holding my camera. It does have its own app to use to take photos, but it easily worked using my native phone camera just as fine. Because it works by balancing your phone, any additional attachments will make it very hard to balance. I purchased some really nice lenses to use while also using the gimbal and they ended up weighing it down where gimbal didn’t work properly: it kept trying to recalibrate to compensate for the weight. So in the end, I didn’t get the nice photos I wanted (my phone isn’t the greatest camera, but decent enough), but with the gimbal, I was able to take clear photos and at better angles with the telescopic selfie stick (I’m short). Another thing is that the battery drains very quickly. Luckily I had a power bank with me, but it was annoying that only after a couple hours, I had to charge it. It would be nice if there was a power save mode, because when I had an impromptu photo/video moment, I would have to turn on the gimbal, turn on the shutter button, calibrate it, and then select either landscape or portrait mode. Something else that would have been nice is the ability to keep the phone on the gimbal while folded away. That would have sped up the photo taking process. Oh well. It was a first gimbal and it worked fine. I’ll be using it again in the future, but more for stationary things or parties and weddings, etc. The attached video is just me testing it out, which I was impressed with how it smooth it was, while I was a trying to manually track myself.

I like that it does so much
Love the features- even though it’s very complicated to get them going. Suggest keeping pdf of manual on phone- you’ll need it for some time. Also- desktop feature phone brackets do.not fit my phone - rather upset about that part- so no face tracking and all that here. The phone fits otherwise- but does drag at the base on a 360. Guess the 14 pro max is a little larger than allowed- but the description didn’t mention that when I ordered.. gonna try to work with it- as I wanted it for motion antishake- even though I have yet to get that feature enabled.. complex sequence for buttons- memory isn’t that great without guide. Wish it would have stipulated phone sizes beforehand so I knew the 14 pro max was too big

Not strong enough
I liked this stick until I tried to use it… my phone - iPhone 14s plus pro… is far too heavy… it won’t hold the phone where I need it to go without flipping over … it has cracked my screen on my phone now and I am not happy about it at all. I would suggest not buying this particular selfie stick as it’s way too expensive and isn’t even built as well as one of these selfie sticks that cost $25. They shouldn’t be selling a selfie stick that doesn’t support the weight of your phone… it Dosnt make any sense why they wouldn’t have just made it more firm and not so lose. If it held the camera like it’s supposed to it would have been a great product. But it doesn’t and now I have to buy a new phone or have screen repaired on a new devise… very upset this is all due to this stupid selfie stick. Thumbs all the way down.

Selfie stick with a gimble
This is a great product. This innovative device has truly elevated my selfie game to a whole new level. The gimbal technology ensures that every shot is incredibly stable and smooth, eliminating any worries about shaky hands or blurry images. The gimbel helps to have level shots. The selfie stick extends to 3 ft. The phone holder is adjustable. This product folds up nicely and it can fit in your pocket. It also has a remote so you can take pictures away from the phone. It also has 3 legs so it can stand up on its own. I love how versatile it is – I can switch between photo and video mode effortlessly, creating dynamic content for my social media platforms. The battery life is impressive, allowing me to snap away without any interruptions. Overall, this selfie stick with a gimbal has exceeded my expectations and added an exciting new dimension to my photography adventures.

Hard to use & heavy to hold
I couldn’t figure it out as it’s not user-friendly. Additionally, when you pull the stick, it makes the phone heavy to carry in hand.I didn’t like it because I don’t have time or patient to ho through tiny writing of the little booklet and I wasn’t even able to use it.There were no YouTube instructions available, lots of influencers promotions but they don’t explain how to do this function, and the company doesn’t have any tutorials on their website.I think all these tech MFR need to think: why Apple becomes number one? Because it's easy to use. That's the key. When one button has to perform 8 different functions, and you must learn what direction to press to do what, it's a deal killer. Also, if you lose the remote, then it's worthless.
