VoleX Kills Voles, Fast, & Easy to use
After the snow melted with a few days of warm weather with sunshine, I noticed patches of clover missing, and raised trails in our lawn. That evening I saw what I thought was a 4" brown mouse with a round face and a stubby tail. I looked it up and discovered we have Voles. That evening while sitting on our porch, I noticed two more grey voles. After researching how to kill them, I purchased VoleX on Amazon. Once I received my order, I immediately spread the pellets where I saw the voles. The next day I noticed that some of the pellets were missing, and some were chewed in half. The next day I saw only one vole, and I added more pellets. A week later I sealed the rock wall and stomped down on their trails. A week later, no signs of vole activity.I recommend wrapping VoleX pellets in plastic wrap because they are not waterproof and will lose their effectiveness when wet.

Useless!
Not sure I can say more about this product. I have a terrible vole problem and I have poured enough of this that you would think it would destroy all existence but I'm pretty sure they are taking it back and creating a four-course meal out of it. Gave them enough to start a Michelin level restaurant out of it. Gordon Ramsey is jealous! This stuff is a joke, so much so my dog has been enjoying it.STUPID VOLES, USELESS PRODUCT!

Did not work for me at all
I used up all the bait over a span of a week, and the voles in my lawn are still doing well. I feel like I gave them a snack.

Think it’s working?
So hard to tell whether this is working or not? Where I live there’s voles everywhere and none of my neighbors do a thing about the voles in their property. Naturally the voles eventually end up on my property too! I think it’s maybe killed a mole here or there? Least it seems the vole mounds in my garden are less or least seem to see little signs of the mounds every so often? Then I got vole mounds again in the garden when I think I got rid of them? Why I say it’s hard to know for sure if it’s helping or not? As I understand how it works it doesn’t kill moles/voles immediately, it makes them dehydrated where they can’t get enough water and eventually die. It’s a little time consuming and annoying to have to weigh out 5oz at a time and wrap it in clear plastic wrap in a ball basically and put that in the ground so that rain water doesn’t ruin this product before the moles/voles eat it. But if it works I suppose it’s worth the effort? I won’t say anything more negative about the product other then having to measure it out and ball it up in plastic. Although if your sure it’s not going to rain or need to water a area for a couple weeks or more? Then you might be able to delete wrapping with plastic wrap? I tried mole traps and only had some tiny success with those too! These underground creatures can drive you insane trying to get rid of them. But if your patient this product may actually work eventually given enough time for the moles/voles to keep eating it enough to eventually die off! I sure hope so anyway?

No more voles! Poor instructions.
It took some trial and error on my part to figure out what works. Why? Because the instructions do not include the US west coast. The clue that helped was in the fine print: "Protect VoleX bait points from water damage as the baits should be kept dry." There was nothing else in the instructions that I found helpful. Now, on to what I discovered that really works:Because I water my flowerbeds and lawn, that is where the voles go. And that means the soil frequently is moist. To keep the baits dry, the only way I could get good results was by wrapping about 1.5 tablespoon of bait in a square of plastic wrap, wrap it up, and tie the ends together. Smells penetrate the thin plastic and voles have no trouble biting the wrap. From there, it is really simple: find a vole hole, gently insert a bait packet, and cover it loosely with soil. Best results happen when I can find 2-3 vole holes to bait. Next day, look for new evidence of vole activity and repeat the process. Same for the third day. After three days, there is no more vole activity in the area. There are no bodies to dispose of. Maybe they die underground or maybe an owl gets them (this is safe for anything except rodents). And that takes care of my vole problem until more move in from next door.I had mediocre results following the package instructions, but bought another package because I still believed bait is a better solution than those useless repellents. Then I came up with the plastic wrap packet idea. Now, success within 3 days every time! I just bought another pouch of VoleX, made my little packets, and stored them in a zip-lock bag ready for use the next time voles move in.
