Pretty good
Good quality for semi permanent. Lasts just a touch longer thsn others. With pink/red semi permanent colors it seems a little color washes away with every wash. With this it lasts a little longer

Got BAD Roots? Bad Color?
I am SO in love with this stuff! So far I've purchased it twice, it's that good. While it's perfect for MY needs, it might be a miss for you, and here's why: I have dark brown hair. Or shall I say HAD. I'ts turning grey, so it was salon dyed with highlights. But now my hair is growing out, and instead of a touch up, I want it to grow out to virgin hair. 2 inches of grey roots and faded medium brown ends? YUK! How was I going to leave the house unless wearing a ski mask?! I had this idea I wanted that purple/grey color after all the brown grew out. When I saw that this product doesn't damage your hair, I thought I'd try it. I've used manic panic in the past. This was reasonably priced so I went with this burgundy, because it didn't come in a purple for dark hair. Washed hair, towel dried. Instead of using the brush, I used a rat tail comb, applying the gel color on to the base and combing through. Waited. Rinsed. WOW!!!!! The grey is that gorgeous light purple, and in the light you can see streaks of dark burgundy on the brown hair. Subtle, but there. It looks like a salon did it. AND...my hair feels like it gets a conditioning treatment every time I use it! I'm not careful about avoiding my scalp, so my head is a little blotchy before my next shower. The next shower takes the scalp color off and it looks perfect. I've also put it on dry hair around my face, because those areas fade quickly because you wash your face twice a day and wear makeup. I just leave it in my hair until I wash it next. I never was very good at following directions, heehee! Comes with gloves, and the gloves are much better than box color gloves, but as a glove addict I always have the better fitting medical gloves on hand, and use those. LOVE. THIS. STUFF.

Pretty color, fades quickly
My hair was at level 7–8, and I used 3 boxes. The result didn’t disappoint, the color turned out more vibrant than a soft pastel pink, but I actually love it. It’s exactly the shade I was looking for. However, it fades super, as shown in the pictures for reference. I’d recommend using a pink color depositing shampoo for touch-ups, it’s much cheaper than dyeing it a 2nd time.

Easy to Use - Great Colors!
Gorgeous color! Many compliments every day! Easy to use, one tube lasts a long time. The color washes out and fades each shampoo, but lasts for a month or more over all. I think L’Oriel is discontinuing the product and we are so sad about that!

Burgundy turns teal!
I have been dyeing my hair for 23 years. I know a lot about regular hair color. Apparently.. What I don't know about is unnatural hair color, lol. I decided to give this a go and dye my daughter's hair first. She is turning 13 and has been asking to have her hair colored for quite some time. I figured what the heck- it's coronavirus time. So I did it. It came out beautifully! I used burgundy on her and it was the richest, most beautiful color. It was not too red, not too purple. It just colored her virgin, medium brown hair nicely and has been fading really nicely as well. It was such a nice color that I decided to get rid of my drab brown color and go for it, too. THIS is where things went sour, haha. It came out NEON-- AND I DO MEAN NEON-- pink and purple. NOTHING like my daughter's. I was mortified, because I am 8 months pregnant and have back to back appointments weekly. I had to go see my doctor with my head held in shame this morning. When I got home, I decided there was no way I could look like this and needed to remove it. I made up my batch of hair dye remover, knowing it would not remove everything but likely to remove most. WRONG. Lol. It did however, change my neon pink and purple hair into pukey teal colored hair with bright red roots! My husband laughed so, so, so, so hard. So NOW here I am having to fill my poor blue hair with red so I can dye over it to a natural DARK brown- the exact opposite of what I want. But I refuse to wait it out, continue to look like this while trying to work it out, or bleach it out. I do not want to damage my poor hair, it has just recovered from many bleachings in the past. I would recommend this ONLY if you are willing to live with some unforeseen circumstances. I personally will not purchase for myself again. But my kids can enjoy it all they want, lol.

Only fuschia hair dye I can use now🥺
So I've been using this for about 3-4 yrs now and it's okay. Box came a little smushed since it was shipped in a bag this time🙄 What I do like is that I can actually use this dye since it doesn't have ingredients like Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Polyethylene Glycol, Sorbitol, etc which trigger my migraines within minutes of being on my skin, hair or inside (food & drink). So I'm glad I finally found this. What I don't like is that after about 5 washings, it's gone poof no more like I never used it. I loved Manic Panic and Splat but they've got the ingredients that I found trigger my migraines. Those dyes would last for 6-10 months, of course it faded alot but you could still see it and I always got compliments on it and I also use Light Blonde hair color every 3 months or so and it still stayed in but not with Colorista. And now since I'm home more I'm not even washing my hair daily, usually 2-3 times a week so why it doesn't stay in longer I've got no clue. I haven't had an issue with this staining my skin but I've also learned my lesson with Manic Panic so I now know what to do & not do. I wear a beauty cape plus gloves and I've gotten to the point that I don't have to use Vaseline around areas on my face that I used to always manage to get it on. I also just choose sections to dye and not all of my hair, I experiment depending on my mood🤪😁 Also, I don't use bleach before using this or my Wella Semi Permanent Light Blonde hair color even though I'm starting to get those pesky gray hairs now😉 The pic of my hair is after a 2nd washing, it was much darker/brighter prior to washing this morning (dyed it 3 days ago). So it really does fade fast on my hair compared to the other 2 brands I mentioned above that I used to use.

Buy the Soft pink NOT pink for a pastel affect
REVIEW FOR #200Pink My hair was very light after multiple bleach jobs. I went from a balayage to full Draco malfoy, and the pink was not forgiving at all. I had some level 8 pieces and those pieces didn’t pick up on the color at all. I have very long hair about 25-28” and only had one tube of dye, so I had to add equal parts of white conditioner to dilute the color for A softer look. Before dying I had toned my hair so there weren’t any orange or yellow pieces. And the dye turned out terrible. The platinum hair pieces turned pastel purple and it was very patchy even though I soaked my hair on the solution and double checked my placement. I absolutely hated it and it came out easily with a baking soda and developer solution, though it did leave a TINY hint of green on the platinum strands. So if you’re going for a soft pastel pink look make sure your hair is WHITE BLONDE, and yes it does wash out eventually and it actually it doesn’t hurt to try, witty pink color you don’t even need to do a bleach wash to remove the color. REVIEW FOR #300SoftPink After failing to achieve a pastel pink with 1 bottle of #200Pink mixed with conditioner, I decided to give #300SoftPink a try. I only used 1 tube and mixed in 1.5cups of white conditioner for my long hair. I left it on for 20 minutes and after rinsing the dye out, my hair became the PERFECT shade of light pink. I shower once maybe twice a week with color expensive safe shampoos and conditioners but sadly the pink faded quite quickly after the first wash it turned into a pink toned blonde shade on the roots only. My ends remained the same shade of pastel pink. I don’t recommend using the soft pink dye struggle from the bottle you won’t get pastel pink at all, it’s too potent. The soft pink shade also does not have a purple undertone like the pink shade in colorista. Soft pink held onto every single strand and didn’t leave my hair patchy looking with odd purple spots like the pink dye.

Hope you never stop carrying this shade!
#200 soft pink is exactly the color to add some whimsy to my white/grey hair. It's the perfect soft cotton candy look and seems somehow appropriate to my age (70something :-)
