Helped after a foot surgery. Helped keep the swelling down, especially before going to sleep. Very cold and circumferential coverage, just what you need for effective edema control. I have a narrow foot (before swelling), and it was a little tight. Wider feet/ankles may have a tougher time, so a 4 out of 5 for that reason

This is FABULOUS! This is the answer! The bottom of my foot was severely injured when a company delivered a food order full of broken glass and liquid. When I lifted up the bag, the glass went all over the kitchen floor and I stepped on glass with bare feet!. Nine months and three doctors later; a dermatologist , who did nothing, a podiatrist who thought I needed surgery, and a surgeon who said I didn't! He said I had a shocked and inflamed fascia--which is the bottom of your foot--and that I needed to "ice it." But how? He didn't say. After suffering for 9 months, I thought an ice boot was the answer, if it existed at all. So I looked through Amazon. And GLORY BE! There was the COMFPACK LARGE FOOT ICE PACK WRAP!!!! It not only works, IT HEALS YOUR FOOT! Before I found it--for 9 long months-- I could stand for only minutes, I couldn't drive, couldn't shop in stores, couldn't exercise. I took about 4 extra strength Tylenol a day for the pain. Now, using the Comfpack Ice Boot for about a week, I CAN DRIVE! I CAN STAND! Some days I'll need 1 Tylenol, but I'm definitely getting better! I'm also ordering a Comfpack Plantar Fasciitis Ice Boot because it has open toes, and toes can get kind of cold, though I've tried wearing a thin sock. I'll write again when I've tried it.

Even after being in the freezer overnight and wearing the boot without a sock, it doesn't feel very cold. And whatever degree of coldness it does have doesn't last very long. Although the overall concept is great, as well as the coverage of the foot, I get much better results just using a regular ice pack. Edit: the reason I didn't think the boot was cold enough is because the solution inside had shifted away from my foot and was concentrated more in the ankle portion of the boot. Now before placing in the freezer I make sure everything is distributed evenly throughout the boot before placing it in the freezer.

The "ice boot" arrived on time and exactly as described. It is super easy to slip on and to wrap the stretchy velcro strap around the ankle. I use that same strap to wrap around the folded boot to store as a neat little bundle. I wear a women's size 8.5 shoe, and the one sz fits all is a bit big, but it definitely fits well for chilling my foot. When I retire the ice boot, I'll save it for other family members' ankle or foot ailments. The one sz aspect will allow everyone to use it. The boot is ready to use after about 2 hrs. in the freezer. Easy to use, easy to store, and feels nice on my foot. Helps with the swelling. Update: Yesterday, TSA airport security would not let the ice boot through in my carry on suitcase due to the gel. It is more than the 3.3 or so allowable. I said it was for medical application to reduce swelling in my healing broken foot, but no matter. Sooo sad they threw it away as I sat there in my wheel chair. New Update Re. GEL boot and TSA: Apparently...if the boot had been frozen, it SHOULD HAVE been okay for my carry on. Check the latest TSA guidelines before flying. They do change. However, to simplify things, it definitely would be fine in baggage.

This thing is amazing! So good in fact, that im going to order 3 more! My wife loves it too so we're going to get a pair each. I have a medical condition where my foot swells almost a size and a half sometimes. The pain is incredible. This ice wrap thing is heavenly when I put it on with a swollen foot. It wraps around my entire foot and ankle and gives immediate relief. My foot is a size 15 when swollen and there is still plenty of room in it. Its got tread on it so if you even want to walk with it, you can. It comes with a plastic bag that it fits in so when you put in the freezer it doesn't absorb smells from the freezer. I wish I found this product years ago.

This is a great ice boot. I had foot reconstruction surgery including bunion and this feels great. The boot gets very cold and remains cold for a long while. The only thing I would say is that after surgery where mobility is an issue, I’m talking 4 weeks post op, it’s difficult to get your foot into the boot, and I have size 5 feet. I think an opening with velcro across the toe area would make it perfect. I would like to give it 4.5 stars but can’t figure that out lol. Definitely worth the money.
