$200 performance. $50 Price.
This reel feels good, performs well, looks good, and won't break the bank. What had me buying it was the super smooth feel and weight. It was the only reel at my price point that was solid and felt expensive. I prefer heavier metal construction so I didn't mind the weight. I have caught countless fish in sometimes harsh conditions and have never once encountered an issue that could be attributed to the reel. I have used it with a 6 pound flouro on a light rod to catch small trout and 20 pound braid to catch big bass and salmon. It has no issue casting out lean leader knots(I use the Alberto) and slip bobber stop-knots. Mine is a bit beaten up from getting knocked around but it never shows its age when it comes to performance. Out of the box I had to shim the cylinder height to center the winding of the spool with the bail. I plan to by a second.
