Q: I would use this for beading. Is it tgin enough that a needle can puncture through?

It really depends on the piece you end up with. Of the pieces that I received, all of them could be punctured with a needle, some easier than others. I could be wrong but I think that these are scraps leftover from upholstery projects so I would imagine that they would have to be able to be sewn or stapled, otherwise it would be difficult to work with.

Q: Would this work for the soles of baby shoes?

I made a pair of baby boots for my grand daughter. Used heavier leather for the soles and this leather for the body and boot shaft. This combination has worked out well. Also took a pair of shoe liners (from k-mart) and cut one of them down to line the inside of the sole. GD is very happy to be able to put on shoes by herself.

Q: are these veg tan? can they be used for stamping? for making key holder?

It’s a thin but strong leather. I don’t do stamping so I don’t know about those requirements. I used it for fringe and it was strong enough for that. My only complaint was that I had hoped for a color selection. I got shades of tan. I don’t know what veg tan means.

Q: What do you mean when you say "used"?

This is new leather. It is either pieces that are too small to sell or a large piece of leather that has a hole or mark (so it cannot be sold as one piece that is 60" x 60"). We cut it up into about 1 lb pieces (size varies but around 12" x 18")
