It took about five minutes to change the valve. I verified the old valve was leaking by putting the ball in water. Bubbles were coming only out of the valve, nowhere else. The tool they supplied was fine for removing the old valve. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to put in the new valve, which was a little difficult, but still took only about a minute. It has to be coaxed into place. After in place, the valve protruded about 1/8". I expected that, since the new one is about 1/8" longer than the old one. I just cut that off with a razor blade. I checked it again in water, and there were no bubbles! A similar replacement basketball (Wilson Evolution) costs about $80 now, so this cheap, easy fix means I didn't need a new ball (though I got a new one anyway!)

Worked great, although as someone else said, requires a little patience getting the old one out. No leaks now!! Highly recommend.

Trying to replace the valve on a $80 football for the save. Tool to pull out original valve does not work. Might work on cheap balls, but not of quality. Upon inserting new valve, I lost 2 valves inside the ball that are loose. Now impossible to get out. Ball is 100% ruined now. Should have gone elsewhere. Returning this.

The tip of the pick is too short to grab securely onto the collar of the valve to be removed. I managed to shred the old valve because of this. Which wouldn’t be a big deal, except that a chunk of it is now stuck in my ball. I was however able to 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 remove the old valve. I would suggest a different pick, but if you want to have a go with the one in the kit, you really want to exaggerate the angle from which you pull to give the end of the pick as much chance to grab as you can. Do not pull straight or close to straight. You should be pulling sideways relative to the surface of the ball. Aside from that issue, the rest of the kit was decent value. I didn’t need 25-50 valves, just a few, so I opted for this kit. If volume serves you, you’re better off going with a bulk option. The valves get a lot cheaper the more you buy. There aren’t a lot of options for a low count set. This one, even with the included accessories, was good value amongst the options I came across. Found a neat trick for installing/seating the new valves - use a 1/4 in - 5/16 socket. Have to apply a lot of force still, but the walls of the socket keep the valve in place and focuses the force where it’s needed. I also found trimming the valve excess (the part that juts out of the ball after installation) easier with a sharp serrated knife as opposed to a utility knife/box cutter as recommended. You can get the knife flat against the surface for a much cleaner, more flush cut.

Worked and fit great on my 2018 World cup ball that i almost gave up on! Used to leak air from valve and now retains air perfectly. Just need to cut off the excess material. It is a bit difficult to put the new valve in. I used the tool it came with and pushed one side really hard until in went in. You do need to use quite a bit of force. Happy with the product 😁

i had a slow leak in my Wilson Evolution which is barely a year old. I had to pump up the ball every other day to be able to use it, but one day when I went to pump the ball up, that slow leak turned into a loud, obvious leak from the valve. I wasn't ready to give up on the ball since it was $80 so I figured I'd try to use this tool kit to try to fix the ball. After a quick watch on a Youtube video, i was able to replace the valve and now there is no more leak! So happy I tried this.

To remove the old valve was relatively easy once the tool got a firm hold, then it only took a constant pressure while pulling and it was out. Replacing the valve was definitely more difficult, to force the new one into that little hole. Don’t get discouraged, just keep pushing, it will finally just sort of pop in. Then the excess rubber was carefully cut off with sharp razor blade. The valve works, no leaks and the ball has kept its pressure.

Did exactly what it was meant to do. 2 month later still keeps air in the ball.

Mit zwei kleinen Spitzzangen habe ich das alte Ventil ziemlich leicht ausbauen können. Dann habe ich, wie im YouTube Video empfohlen, das Ventil mit Rasierschaum benetzt und dann in den Ball geschoben. Mit dem beigefügten Werkzeug ließ sich das Ventil mit wenigen Handgriffen im Ball einbauen. Den Überstand habe ich mit einem sehr scharfen Messer abgeschnitten. Der Ball ist jetzt dicht und ich sehr froh, dass ich ziemlich kosteneffizient den Ball reparieren konnte.

I bought this ball valve kit to change my leaking soccer ball valve. I have a soccer ball that would deflate after a week. I had another soccer ball which was more expansive than my current soccer ball, that I try to fix but ending up destroyed. If I had this tool kit I would have still have my expansive soccer ball now. It makes the job easy changing the valve. I don’t regret purchasing the tool kit. It is value for my money.
