Melts smoothly and no foreign particles :)
I make a ton of my own salves/ointments/balms etc. and after finally finishing off a 5lb bag of organic beeswax pastilles that I'd had forever decided on buying the Sky Organics pastilles. They aren't the very lowest price on Amazon but they're still a great deal in comparison with similar products and the quality is top notch. I've also purchased other products from them before and trust the company.I found the Sky Organics wax melted a lot more cleanly than the last bag I had, which I'd gotten from an herb store in my home town. With the last bag I occasionally ended up with a very fine but still slightly bumpy texture in my finished products. It wasn't a big deal as it melted upon application but I'm loving that this is triple filtered so I end up with a perfectly smooth texture. Also, being a natural product it's not unusual to find small organic particles in some beeswax but I was really happy to find no foreign particles whatsoever in this brand. It has a very mild waxy honey smell just like it should.I opted for the white beeswax and it blended beautifully with herbal infused olive oil and shea butter to make a smooth, creamy, lovely ointment. I ended up giving several little jars away for Mother's Day and everyone was pleased. This 1lb bag will last a lot longer than you'd expect since, at least for how I like my salves, a large batch usually only takes around 1/3 cup of pastilles....but when I do use it up I'll absolutely repurchase.

Great for candle dipping
No scent. I was glad it didn't smell bad, but I also had hoped for a beeswax smell. It took a while to melt, but worked really well for dipping our candles

So far so good
This bag yielded me only 3 small candles. I was hoping for 5-6 candles. But the quality seems to be good.

Melted super easy. It's what I expected.
I read the reviews about an odor so I ordered it expecting the kitchen to fill up with a putrid smell when I opened the package. No. Before writing this review I smelled one more time. I do smell like a chemical-type of smell, but it did not affect the pellets and I don't care. I'm using it for skin care recipes and my finished product smelled like roses not weird wax. Works for me.

Really effective for making wax ear plugs for quiet sleeping
I use this to make my own wax ear plugs for quiet sleeping. I mix 10 Tbsp pure beeswax w/1 Tbsp pure lanolin oil Lanolin Oil USP Grade by H&B OILS CENTER Premium Quality Skin Hair Lip Moisturizing 100% Pure 8 oz, melt and stir well. When it cools I break it up into balls about 1/2 inch in diameter and store in a plastic container in the fridge. The trick is not to use too much lanolin oil or it gets to sticky/oily. The above recipe produces about 20-30 balls, but it's just a bit brittle/hard, so I just microwave them for a minute or so before putting them in my ears. This softens them enough to make a good, tight fit. I also use a bit more per plug than commercially available ones, so that I can really cover the inside of the outer ear almost completely w/a thick layer of wax plug. Covering just the ear canal is less effective at reducing sound; and by molding the plugs around the cartilage ridge in the outer ear, it stays put all night. I also put a small piece of cotton in each ear canal before applying the wax plug, so that wax won't get into the ear canal and cause problems.Beeswax is a natural anti-bacterial/anti-viral, so it helps prevent infection. But I still wash each plug w/soap and water each morning after removing, for extra safety. They last about two weeks before getting too small to use, at which point I just combine the plug w/some more wax to make the right size again. They can't shut out all sounds, but when things outside are noisy I supplement w/a white noise machine LectroFan High Fidelity White Noise Machine with 20 Unique Non-Looping Fan and White Noise Sounds and Sleep Timer. I can turn it up fairly loud w/out it's bothering me because the plugs drown out most of the white noise, but the white noise is still effective at masking noise.

Great for all DIY needs!
I use beeswax for almost all my DIY needs (e.g., body butter for my son's eczema, lip balm, foot cream, etc.). The pallets are so easy to melt in a double boiler, and a microwave would work also but in short bursts of 20 (seconds) but I prefer the double boiler.I've ordered from other places before and Sky Organics beeswax is my go to. I am still going through my old bag (left), new one on the right. It has a faint smell but it does not bother me.
