I've been using UltraPoi products for around 6 years. The helix poi are my absolute favorite. I am a fast spinner and have put my poi through the ringer, thrown them into trees, hit concrete, rain, storms, and sunshine, they've seen it all. What killed them was some faulty AAA+ Duracell batteries. Leaked and ate right through the circuit board.I've only played with the new set a little but I am already absolutely in love. The light switching and transitioning is just less jagged than old designs. The added weight is great. I don't feel like they will slow me down but they feel more stable. Tricks and illusions are easier, specifically with tosses. The beveled end is a game changer as far as protection for the inner workings and when you inevitably hit yourself in the face.Honestly what I would change, I have a personal preference for USB-C, it's easier to pot in the charger and there's virtually no risk of jamming or accidentally bending prongs because of prolonged use. I wish there were rubber inserts for the charging port to protect them a little further. It's just an open cut out. I do however like the cut out for the buttons to change the settings, less guessing and easier to show friends who want to try them out.Is it worth it? 100% these are so cool. Just be mindful about the charging port, drink spills or rain could prove to be an issue.Get them!

To be honest there’s no good instructions but they can do a lot.They don’t tell you what side is which when you take the batteries out so be careful putting them back in. I put them in backwards and they started smoking and they broke. Now I’m waiting another two weeks before I can even use them. Directions said to take them out if they ficker but don’t worry the flicker is a setting so don’t go try and fix them right away like I did. Hopefully I can get to spinning soon I can’t tell you how difficult it’s been to just get some good working poi.

Poi fell apart in a matter of days string broke light kept falling out of the ball in the handle then handle broke after about five uses. Definitely not the quality I wanted

Ended up sending these back the buttons didn't work right and very hard to try and get set on the same setting.

I got these for my wife and they are awesome. She is a very fast poi spinner and performs with these. The colors and patterns leave very cool tracers. She gets asked regularly what they are. She likes the weight and they are easy to control. They were a bit complicated to figure out the modes at first, but not too difficult. She uses only one end at a time and this set gives her a back up pair of helix for performing. Highly recommend.
