The key racks are equipped with very strong magnets that hold key rings as well as a handful of other metal items. (ie. bottle openers, metal pens, wine corkscrew, scissors, sewing needles, etc.) Keys themselves are not magnetic; however, key rings are magnetic and the magnets hold a surprising amount of weight. Approx. dimensions: 5 Magnet Size: 9 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 1/2", 4 Magnet Size: 7 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 1/2", 3 Magnet Size: 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 1/2". They have 2 holes on the back to hang on screws on the wall. Magnets do not interfere with key fobs (remote car openers); however, they should not come into contact with magnetic strip items (credit cards, magnetic ID badges, etc.) and persons with pacemakers or any battery operated medical devise should exercise caution in handling and using anything made with magnets.
