Incredible Waves: Amazing Surf Photos and How to Shoot Them Hardcover – September 1, 2013

My dad was a surfer before he had children. He even used to make surfboards. A few years ago, he was diagnosed with cancer and right before he died, I bought him this book. It was amazing to watch him flip through the pages and the light that would come to his eyes when he would see the waves and the beautiful images of the ocean. I was so grateful to be able to buy something like this for him to give him those memories before he passed.

Great photography! Special section on how to do surf photography from land, wave, air and underwater (I'm more of a photographer today than a water person).I was surprised to find no pictures from Santa Cruz or Mavericks but I did learn of a number of places I had not heard of. However I think I know where there are some even better places not listed...

Rather than just using as a coffee table book,IWe take books like this when the quality is so good and frame !!!

We were nervous to give this to our photographer surfer friend. He loved it, particularly because it has different artist’s work.
