Yibuy Golden Classical Guitar Tuning Pegs Machine Heads Guitar Tuners w/ 8pcs Screws

I ordered this set for my friend's old classical guitar that had really sluggish and gritty feeling tuners. I tried getting them to work, but one of the plastic keys snapped in half as I was installing a new set of strings. So my search for something affordable, yet awesome began.I found these for less-than $15 on Amazon, and ordered them immediately. The screw mounting holes appeared to match what I needed, so I gave these an order. I was also drawn to them as the tuning keys themselves were replaceable just in case this were to happen again in 20-30 years.Installation was pretty easy. The two outer screw mounting holes matched what was on the guitar's headstock, while the two inner holes were slightly off. However, they were off just enough to create two new mounting holes without issue. The old holes would be covered up by the plate. So I quickly drilled for new holes and was able to finish installation without any more issues.The mechanics of these tuning machines is smooth and easy on all 6. No gears were off as I wound the new strings, gliding all the way around 360˚ with each wind. I couldn't be happier as they made me look good as a tech, and made my friend happy by the end. Tuning stability is pretty solid as well, all things considered with classical strings settling in after stretching.

I put these on a Yamaha G 55A...a Seventies guitar with worn-out tuners....they fit great, only the top screw-hole was not on the guitar...an easy fix..........They work very smoothly, and hold tune well...(After initial slippage with new strings)They also look great, a bit out of place on the beat-up old Yammie, but so what? The only thing, the buttons are a bright pearlescent greyish-white, almost glowing.....no big deal....I'm happy!!!

for the small money not too bad..used them on an old Carlo Robelli...they do work,,but for a fine guitar you need much better quality...

This is a very nice set of classical guitar tuning machines at an incredible price. Although it is too soon to evaluate its quality, upon inspection I see no reason for them to fail in any way. Every thing feels sturdy however the tuning knobs could fail because they are made of plastic. I think if they are not excessively tightened they could last longer. I'll update this review later if something goes wrong with them.

Excellent on my restored guitar.

Product came with defective gear to tuner peg. Last string added, tried to tune the 6th string and stopped turning about 3/4 turn. Backed it off and tried again, same thing. The teeth on the peg gear were misshapen and jammed the worm gear. Contacted seller and heard nothing in return. All I need is a replacement gear... probably a .10 cent item.

Die Cast Baseplate machined to much closer tolerances than stamped Steel Baseplates. Very smooth operation. Quality knockoff of $60 Schaller units. I would definitely purchase again. Only drawback - not offered in Nickel or Chrome plating.

Sizing of the tensioners was too large. The dimensions were not given in the description/information of the product.
