I actually had this bow before but it got broke by someone so it's a rainbow for fiddle or the violin

Can’t say anything bad about this bow. But I’m learning and that’s a whole different story! I so like how easy it is to tighten and care for. Great for a beginner

I am an adult beginner. Six months ago bought the Fiddlershop Artist Violin Outfit ($719), which included a carbon bow ($50). I considered a new bow and bought this for a trial first wood bow. First, the price is half what a "rehair" of carbon would cost. Second, the weight is similar, but the wood bow sound is better for my ear. Slightly more mellow. Third, even with very, limited skill sets, I feel the wood bow is more playable.The carbon bow seemed to be tight and bounced off the strings. The wood bow rests easier on the strings. Less effort is required. Of course, all comments are with my limited skill sets. If the hairs last awhile, I'll probably order 1-2 more of these bows in the next few months.

Decent quality. My son uses these with his guitar. It actually sounds really good. He uses them often and they have held up very well.

The hair of the bow is much more coarse than horse hair. Regardless of amount of rosin applied extremely poor sound quality. We cannibalized the brass eyelet from the new bow and temp. repaired the old one. Sound quality came back immediately. Would not buy again.

I lost my boat to my violin. Find god this is replacement and I like Aunt better than the one that came with my violin. It's great quality strong hair!
