About This BlackTie Box: Introducing the BlackTie Box by Black Tie Mercantile, the first and only gift-ready packaging system designed for the unique challenges of E-Commerce. Whether you choose to ship directly to a recipient or to yourself, your item is guaranteed to arrive exactly as described and photographed. In 1976, a high school language teacher named Peter W. De Yager began taking his students abroad so the students could learn more about the languages and cultures they were studying. After visiting a candy factory in Germany, the students decided to sell candy to raise money for the next summer’s trip. By 1982 Yager’s fledgling company, The Foreign Candy Company, was providing foreign language students in the United States with candy from around the world. Thanks to the Foreign Candy Company, millions of people grew up loving Eiffel Bon Bons in their French language classes. These unique, bite-sized candies are bursting with a tart flavor that makes French language students beg for more! Now get a BlackTie Box for any occasion featuring six 4 oz bags of Eiffel Apple Bon Bons.

Stale- Not Chewy
The bon bons were extremely hard and not as flavorful as I remember bon bons to be. The price was quite high for the candy to be stale and not chewy.

Just like I remembered!
Just like I remembered from high school! Our French teacher used to sell these as a fundraiser, and they were one of my favorites, I was pretty pleased to be able to find the same brand for a brief reminiscence.

Thumbs down
Candy was hard as a rock and couldn’t even eat one. Item wasn’t eligible for return. So sad cause I love these.

Delicious but tough...
Bon bons are delicious, but the ones from this seller are a bit harder than they should be. Perhaps they have had an excess of this product for quite some time.
