When the light is off, slightly press the tail switch and hold can keep it on while release will turn it off. Any of the 5 modes will be remembered if it has been used for longer time 2 seconds before turn off. When you turn on again, it starts from the remembered mode. Note: Low voltage protection function: The light continuously blinks when the battery’s current comes to 2.8V(from 3.7V) which reminds you to exchange or recharge the battery. When the current is as low as 2.6V one second, the light is off. Over-heat Protection: To protect the flashlight, after continuously 3 min use in Turbo mode, the light will step down to High mode automatically while after continuously 30 min use in High mode, the light will step down to Mid mode automatically. If you need High brightness level, please switch it manually.

One of the most practical flash lights for me.

Best smart light
when I first got this flash light it stopped working but I found out it was not grounding right so I tightened the middle part of the body and it has worked great. Very good flashlight. I have had others but this one is better. Its very bright and you can buy replacement batteries for it.
