... purchased this product after seeing my neighbor with the best looking pine straw in my neighborhood
I purchased this product after seeing my neighbor with the best looking pine straw in my neighborhood. She told me that her straw was sprayed but didnt know the name of the product. I don't know if this is what her straw was sprayed with but this is what I bought. Works great! Loved the results. The only down side, although it was definitely not a major point for me is even though I sprayed the sidewalk with water, it still stained it somewhat, but not a deal breaker to me. I have had several neighbors ask where did i get the beautiful pine straw. We were spending $200 ea time we replaced the pine straw, so that has gone from $200 to probably $30 to color all the straw at my house, this stuff is amazing. I almost forgot to say there is a learning curve to spraying this, but again...not a deal breaker for me...still love it.

Great Pine Straw Refresh
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Year number 2 application and guided help for your first application. I waited a year to write this so I could see how this product held up. So far I am very Impressed and it's saved money while making my 110 bales of straw look new again. Let's Talk set-up. You need a quality sprayer. I bought a 2 gallon Husqvarna from Amazon and it's held up for 2 years now. Do not get smaller than this 2 gallons. It's important to get one like this, with a relief valve on top. This stuff stains your clothes so not having it spray your face because you released the pressure valve first is an added bonus. This stuff is thick and goes a long way. When spraying, do not allow the sprayer to run out of mixture. Because the sediment in the mix will settle on the bottom of the sprayer, if you run it dry, it'll clog the sprayer. Easy enough fix. Continue to keep pressure in the sprayer, it makes it last and cover much better.Next, save milk jugs for a few weeks and pre-mix in batches. I used 3 oz. per gallon and got the color you see here, for redder color use 4 oz. but a warning that it makes the mix a bit thick. This allows you to constantly apply the solution with little downtime. Work saved messing with mixing. Now you are ready to avoid the mistakes I made the first year and get started ... I applied this on by going in 2 different passes, one diagonal, one straight across. I didn't let it dry between coats but it looks great. Clean up was easy with water and do not clean sprayer on concrete. This will stain your concrete. Clean it in the yard. Just FYI, I sprayed it and got it on my plants without issue. Plants (Hydrangeas etc.) did not care. Lasted in the Georgia sun for 4 months.

Consider where you are applying as the dye will come off on your shoes and into your house.
Bottle arrived busted inside the plastic bag it was contained in. Unfortunately most of the liquid had already dried to a paste so it couldn't just be messily poured back into a different container. I was able to salvage a small portion of the liquid to try in order to determine if I like enough to buy another bottle. I was able to cover a small area of my landscape using the remaining liquid that was still in the busted bottle. I found the coverage to be adequate and appearance acceptable but not natural looking. It is definitely "redder" in color than the appearance of even the highest quality long needle appears naturally. Now 2 weeks have passed with not much rainfall and the straw still looks good. Unfortunately, if you touch or walk in the straw, the dye will come off on your hands and shoes even weeks after being applied. I'm not a fan of this since I cannot count on my dog and children staying out so as to not bring dye in on their shoes/feet and onto the household flooring.

When used properly it leaves mulch looking like it just fell off the tree
When used properly it leaves mulch looking like it just fell off the tree. Will turn and keep grey looking pine straw a Georgia clay brown color and will hold its color for a few months. Seems to preserve the mulch as well. When you apply it the color will seem off - almost a brown orange color. Don't worry - just let it dry and it will oxidize to a brown color. Just don't overdo it on the first pass. If you want a deeper color just respray.

Pine Straw Looks Better Than New!
This product is awesome! I applied this product a few weeks ago, and so far the color has not deteriorated. The color looks great. Application is easy, although it can be a bit time consuming. I definitely recommend applying it as instructed, using 2 perpendicular passes for the best coverage. Next time, I will use a high capacity sprayer, as I had to mix up several batches using a 1 gallon sprayer. I bought a cheap sprayer because I had read that the solution was sort of gritty and clogged the sprayer, and I didn't want to damage an expensive sprayer on an experiment. I had absolutely no trouble with the solution clogging the sprayer. The product will certainly stain anything it come in contact with (as the label states), so you must avoid getting it on concrete, bricks and mortar, or clothes and shoes you care about keeping clean. Overall, I highly recommend this product. If the color lasts as expected, it will have saved me hundreds of dollars on new pine straw.

Best money I have spent for my yard
This is an absolute must have for landscaping. Spend $700 on pine straw and tried this to add a little color to see what it would do, what did I have to lose. Well the pictures say it all. Mixes easily and even easier to apply. Just ordered another to have on hand.

Great product, see photos.
Very much better than expected, I had some plant beds at an account that are on a slope. When the pine straw gets to too thick it blows into the parking lot making a mess. Perfect solution!! Hopefully it will last as long as they says it does?
