Product was delivered with no installation instructions whatsoever. I had to search online and find an installation video for another vendor before I could begin the project.After figuring out how to install the components, I discovered that the climate control system was confused and blowing hot air when I wanted cold and cold air when I wanted hot. The audio controls also would not retain my preferred settings for things like tone/balance/fade.The vendor did respond to messages and six days later was able to remotely reprogram the SYNC unit for my car (this apparently was not done correctly prior to shipment).The vendor informed me that I would need to change the vehicle wiring to correct the climate control malfunction. It took them a week and a half to get me instructions on the correct procedure for altering the vehicle wiring.This is NOT a plug-and-play kit.Unless you are willing to accept these installation delays and problems, you may want to spend the extra money to get a kit from another vendor who provides installation instructions and the correct wiring harness to allow for plug-and-play installation.

When I received the SYNC 1 to SYNC 3 upgrade kit, I couldn't wait to start the installation. It took me about two hours to install it. The installation process was not very difficult for me. This is a very good upgrade. Compared with my previous SYNC1, the screen of SYNC3 looks larger and more comfortable. And the additional features are worth it. I'm glad that it has added Apple CarPlay and a more complete navigation map. If you want to upgrade your car to a new sync system, this kit is very useful.

I bought this kit to upgrade my Ford from SYNC1 to SYNC3. When I received the package,I'm glad the package is neatly packed. The installation process was a bit confusing, but I installed it quickly. This SYNC 3 upgrade kit is really good. I also use Apple Carplay, and it has no problem connecting. This is a great upgrade system. So far, its overall function has made me very satisfied. And the two-year warranty period makes me feel at ease. I strongly recommend it.
