Solid companion manga to the main game
Devil Survivor is one of my favorite SMT games, so it’s not a huge surprise that I bought the manga on a whim. I had a blast with it. While it’s no substitute for the game itself and the ending felt a bit lackluster, it goes a great way in fleshing out the characters and world of the story.

Another fantastic volume!
Continues a fantastic storyline. Great Artwork and even though i've played through the game and played through all the possible endings, i'm still unsure which route they will use to finish this story.can't wait for book 8.

Excellent action (demon fighting) manga
From back of book:Now that Kazuya knows the truth, it's time to make a choice. His deepest desire is to go back to his normal life, and with the help of Haru's demon-banishing song, he and his friends may be able to make that wish come true. But Naoya has other ideas.Review of Volume 7:On day 6, Kazuya found out that he had two choices 1) defeat the demons and rule under the guidance of God (the Angels support this plan) or 2) defeat the demons to become Bel/King and use the demons as an army to attack God (Naoya supports this plan). All Kazuya wants to do is return to his normal, every day life. (The third option, of course, is for Kazuya to die, but he is definitely against that option!)Haru is working feverishly on a song to banish demons that Atsuro hopes he can use to alter the programming of the main server that is supporting the comps that they are using to battle the demons. Kazuya, Atsuro, and Yuzu continue to battle demons and Kazuya continues to grow more powerful. Kazuya is being set up to be a stereotypical "Chosen One" which is something that Kazuya doesn't want. This volume doesn't an excellent job of setting up the final day/volume of Devil Survivor.Although the book/series isn't perfect, I found it a great read and feel that anyone interested in this type of manga will enjoy it. The action is fast paced, but still allows time for character development.Review of Devil Survivor series:Few books/series are perfect, but this Devil Survivor is very, very good. The art work is well done, consistent, and realistic even though the demons are fantasy creations. The story is based on a game, but the author provides enough information to make the main characters seem like 'real people' with realistic reactions to their situation and the events surrounding them. The ending was satisfying and reasonable.
