This shower curtain is really cute and easy to install. Comes with hooks. No need to close hooks. I haven't had to wash it yet so I'll leave an update at later date. I love the quality and thickness of this curtain. Fit my shower/tub perfectly. Would highly recommend.

nice curtain, easy to set up

The ambient humidity where I live is practically a year round constant, which turns any bathroom into a prime environment for mildew if you aren't careful. I needed a shower curtain that was legitimately water repellent, breathed well enough to dry quickly, and most importantly, could be thrown straight into the washing machine on a regular basis to keep things clean. This is currently set up in my main bathroom. Because the 100% polyester fabric is a solid, opaque white and fairly thick, I am using it as a standalone curtain without an extra plastic liner behind it to maximize airflow and keep the shower area looking minimalist. Pros: • Machine Washable: This is easily the biggest point for me. Being able to just toss it in the washing machine keeps it looking brand new and completely eliminates the gross soap scum buildup you inevitably get with cheap PVC liners. • Weighted Hem: The bottom hem actually has enough weight to keep the curtain hanging straight down. It doesn't loudly billow inward and stick to your legs while the hot water is running, and it doesn’t stick to the side of the tub. • Installation: The rust resistant metal grommets are well-stitched, and the fact that it includes 12 hooks in the package means it’s ready to hang right out of the box in about two minutes. • Length: this is the perfect length for my shower and tub. I didn’t have to adjust the rod at all. Cons: • Creases out of the box: Because it's a polyester fabric, it comes tightly folded in the packaging and has very stubborn creases when you first hang it up. You can probably run it through a quick wash if you want to get some of the wrinkles out, but I didn’t bother. After just a few showers, the creases were gone. • Included Hooks are Basic: While it's great that hooks are included, they are very basic white plastic rings. They function perfectly fine, but you might want to upgrade to metal roller hooks if you care about the look. • Blocking light: it blocks more light than a transparent plastic curtain, if you care about that. The Verdict: For the price point, this Amazon Basics fabric curtain drastically outperforms standard plastic liners. It looks clean and modern, stays exactly where it should, and the fact that it's machine washable makes it incredibly easy to maintain. Highly recommended if you want a no fuss, durable bathroom upgrade.
