Does the job & a decent product, but kind of expensive
*** double check one way valve direction after installing, it can cause premature failures if wrong*** I'll start with the pros of this product... It is a three port system, that allows vacuum under boost and idle. This means you will always have vacuum on the PCV valve, that's good. It feels like a quality product and has a nice textured flat black paint. It has a more stock appearance than that chrome s***. They gave me more than enough hose to do the job. Now what I didn't like... First I don't believe it is a 300 dollar kit. I bought it to save time on purchasing individual parts. Also, because it had the clean side separator (CSS). That part alone runs about 100 dollars. Otherwise you can buy everything individually for half the price, if you get a less expensive catch can. If you excluded the CSS you could make this system for 50 dollars. The problem I ran into with the CSS is that the adapter barely fit into the oil cap hole. It was really tough to get onto my engine. The CSS also pulls out of the oil cap adapter pretty easily. I was only given two hose clamps. This bothered me since you have over 10 hose to barb connections. Some of them didn't fit very tightly and I was worried they may come loose. I used zip ties to put some clamping force on all of the connections. I have metal hose clamps that will be replacing them in the near future. The brackets for mounting the catch can are "universal" and I'm not satisfied with the mounting options. Their suggested mounting doesn't feel very sturdy. It's something I will work on and maybe custom fab something better. I have no clue what is on the inside of the can since it is sealed. That does worry me, but maybe I'll check out the website to see if they have cross sections. I should have done my research before installing in that regard. If you do it right it will be well hidden and not noticable. But the amount of splits needed does look kinda tacky. I wish they'd make a single adapter part for the turbo / CSS / Valve cover connection side of the catch can instead of two T-barb connectors. Overall install was simple for someone mechanically capable. If you are not a typical DIY person you may struggle, but nothing you can't overcome. It took me 2 hours for a slow and methodical installation. On my 2015 2.7l F150 you do cut some adapters free to use. I didn't use the heating method and chose to peel the plastic hose off little by little. That was where most of my time was spent. Be sure to verify your hose path won't interfere with the engine shroud after it's reinstalled. What else.... overall it is a nice kit. It is kind of expensive and not plug and play. Plug and play would be nice if the had the hoses were precut with factory adapters attached. I know there is a manufacturer who sells a complete plug and play for those who don't have strong mechanical skills. I did opt for the non-invasive CSS install for now. I don't see a purpose in drilling into the air box. Plus, I didn't feel I had the best fitting options out of the box to do that mod.
