Fantastic must-own DVD for any little einstein fans
WE are huge fans of Little einsteins in this household. I hate the baby einsteins DVD's with a passion but little einsteins is different! It introduces music, instruments, timbres, italian musical terminology, geography, science, art... All of which can be built upon by the discerning parent! I am a music graduate and taught music for 10 years and am very hard to please! This fantastic series brings the arts more mainstream! I love the way that the plot is not dumbed down and has language that is approachable and extends sufficiently. My 2 year old is a massive fan, has learnt the italian terms quickly just from the show and recognizes the pieces from the DVD. It's funny to hear a 2 year old asking asking to listen to Beethoven's 9th - and not just the parts that are known from the DVD! A great intro to 'classical' music if you haven't got your child hooked into it yet.Do yourself a favour and leave this for a weekend only DVD - and grab an hour more in bed knowing that your child will be interested, learning lots of stuff and not seeing anything you'd really rather they didn't!

Like a theme park ride!
I enjoyed this movie more like riding on an airplane! The story starts when the kids find the caterpillar group who want to go to the leaf tree to become butterflies, and they take one without the others to the tree with the right sound so they can then join the party. Invitations to the kids, 4 of the butterflies, and the viewers are then handed out, and the bag for one of the butterflies shows clues to where the invitation went. At Niagara Falls, the kids used the rocket's reverse paddle to avoid the waterfall's edge. At New York, they explore the highest building. At Oklahoma, they save the trapped butterflies from the cave. Finally, at Texas, they perform in front of the cow group to get the invitation that was dropped there. They then go to Mexico to see all the butterflies fly about as their final stop. The caterpillar group then performs one last time right before the credits start after a huge celebration at the end. This would be perfect for the little ones who didn't learn history and geography yet!

So amazing! Buy them all!!!
I LOVE these so much!!! My daughter is now 5 and has been watching Little Einstein’s since she was 2 and she still loves them, along with now her 2 yr old brother! They are so educational, teaching about great classical music, classic art pieces, classic stories and tales, instruments and their names and sounds, different vocal ranges and tones, animals, counting, they travel to different countries, animal migration patterns.... the list goes on, and basically it’s amazing!! There’s nothing else out there like it. My kids surprise me constantly with things they’re learning and I’ll ask where they learned it from and they’ll say this show! Don’t hesitate, buy them all, you will not regret it 😉

STUNNING! Educational, fun, interactive. What more could you ask for?
My husband and I bought this video for our daughter's 2nd birthday. Since day one she has loved it. She runs around the house yelling "blast off!" Or something that kind of sounds like blast off... I'm not sure where people are coming up with negative comments for this video. Is it really such a big deal that the characters don't walk around reciting poetry through the entire movie when you already have visual art, classical music, geography, cultural diversity, and an abundance of other underlying educational themes? I also run a daycare center with kids age 2 through 5 and every one of them asks over and over again to watch this movie. The kids take turns being the different characters and flying their "rocket" all over the world. My school age kids want pictures of Niagra Falls and Monarch Butterflies to take home with them. As far as I'm concerned you can't ask for much more from a video, after all, it is our job as parents to FULLY educate our children, not the job a video.

Pat pat pat!
Oh my goodness, I love this show and so do my kiddos, 3 and 2 yr old. We found this on Netflix, my son liked the rocket ship. It teaches them about music and art in a fun creative way. The images are lovley, the characters and rocketship are a certain animation, and the background/setting is real life, photographic or artsy. We focus so much on teaching math, science and reading to children we can sometimes forget the importance of the arts. I was in band in high school and played the flute, teaching my kids music has always been important to me. My son now recognizes the sounds of the violin, flute, drums, bassoon, clarinet etc.. It's because of this show. He is aware of ballet, and composers..we just love it.had to but the DVD! We will be buying more, it's a great value, best price here on Amazon, dvd was great, widescreen, fast shipping.

Fine for the Price $$
I bought this Little Einsteins VHS tape for my sons nursery. He has an older TV with a built in VCR in his room and he will watch it for hours! He LOVES The Little Einsteins! I think I paid like $6.00 for the movie. It shipped pretty fast. I think I got it in about 4 days. It works fine, a little fuzzy in the begining though the previews. I would buy another for the same price. It works for us!

Based on the Preview DVD
I received the preview DVD with another Little Einstein set. I put this in for my 12 month old to watch. He was engrossed for the entirety of the film and laughed many times! This film blends animation, orchestra, art and real-life scenes so wonderfully! The music isn't midi like the others but is a full orchestra set of some of the great classical characters. The scenes merge into reproductions of wonderful actors. The merging between animation and real life is done beautifully and artistically while adding to the fun. The characters are colorful and full of life. This really does look like it will be better than ANY of the Little Einstein DVDs! I predict that soon Leo will be as popular as Dora as preschoolers will love this series just as much as toddlers! Oh yeah... it wasn't annoying to me at all!! I actually enjoyed watching the entire thing and was wow'ed many times.
