A1990 Laptop Battery, Egoway A1953 Replacement for MacBook Pro 15 inch Touch Bar A1990 (Mid 2018, 2019), EMC 3215 3359

My 2018 MacBook was really starting to struggle with holding a charge and started slowing down. I was torn on if I should upgrade or try to fix my current machine. The price was right, so I bought this battery hoping changing it out would solve my problems and it did! The procedure is pretty involved and takes some patience, but it is so worth it. I will be keeping this Mac as long as apple supports it. Grab this product and restore your old Mac, you'll be glad you did.

Installed this battery in my mac about a month ago (August, 2023) and still operating. The old battery failed completely and the machine wouldn't work even when plugged in.I did the repair slowly, in increments over a day. Lots of things can go wrong with the ribbons, easy to crack the screen and easy to lose the microscopic screws. So keep that in mind.When it came to removing the glued in batteries I set the computer in the sauna to heates up the adhesive and made it way easier. It still says it needs service but the computer now keeps a charge, stays on and works just like before. Highly recommend

The battery arrived promptly and came with all the necessary tools and thorough instructions. I replaced my burned-out battery without any issues, and was happy to have a working computer again. Unfortunately though, the battery soon seemed to have issues, as my laptop told me it was not working at full efficiency. This went on for a few weeks, and eventually, the battery totally crapped out and stopped working. The worst part is that this happened after the return window had closed and I cannot return it. I have contacted the seller to see if I can still exchange it due to the circumstances and waiting for a response. Hopefully they will take care of it. To be continued...

Works as expected, holds charge well. As a bonus you get few screw drivers including T0.8 which is not even found in my iFixit tool set!

The kit comes complete with everything you need to change out the battery on a 2018 15" Macbook Pro. The instructions are vague but there are YouTube videos that make this job fairly easy. Not all screws are the same lenths so make sure you keep them in order for correct reinstall, if not then calipers can help you check the lengths. I used a bit of rubbing alcohol as an adhesive remover, just add little amounts as you work through the adhesive, you dont need much, just take you time. The adhesive on the new battery does not work well on the two outside batteries. This is because they dont lay completly flat on the chassis. The inside batteries do lay flat and stuck well. With hindsight I should have left the old adhesive on the chassis to give the new battery a bit more area to sit flat and stick better. Time will time how long this battery will last but so far so good.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is needlessly difficult to install. You have a bunch of tiny screws requiring 6 different screwdrivers. To top it off, the battery is glued to the laptop so that will take some real effort to remove. I do all that, replace the batter, and then try to connect it to the laptop with the connector and it laterally snaps clean in half like paper. Apple does this deliberately and its shameful.

Very reasonable price. Instructions are a bit confusing. Overall product is great. I like the company and its services as well as its products.

THis is fairly well made product - fitted well, Instructions that came with the battery are quite detailed and easy to understand and follow. some of the "screwdrivers" that came with it are of a lower quality and heads got stripped, however the worst part that at about this time 6 weeks after the install it stops holding charge - not sure what may be the issue - did cells collapsed? hopefully this helps
