Calling it a gel set an expectation but actually it is just another white sun cream. I don’t feel it was any less sticky or greasy than my usual brand but it definitely doesn’t smell of sun cream so that’s ok. Can’t comment yet on its effectiveness in the sun but slightly disappointed otherwise.Update: having used this in anger on holiday, I can confirm that it appears to give excellent protection. Biggest problem is the tube and cap, which make handling it difficult; once you have dispensed a handful, you cant get the cap back on and unless you prop it up, it will continue to seep out. A flat bottom (rather than top) would help immensely.

simple to use and spreads across your skin beautifully. It is not a cream, more of a non-greasy spread which is great to use and easily absorbed very quickly.

I burn incredibly easily, and I absolutely hate suncream with a passion.However, after trying numerous other suncreams that either resemble Dulux emulsion or just don't work, I was delighted to see the advertisement for Life Jacket.I bought SPF 30 and have to say this stuff is incredible. I've been to numerous places abroad within the last year and I have not burnt at all when using this. That is even when my active 18 month old, at the time, was wanting to be in and out of the water all day in Cyprus, I did not burn at all. Its not heavy on my skin either, another thing I hate is the feeling of a cream on my skin which this doesn't feel like you've even put it on. Its non-greasy too, in my opinion, this is a dream to use. Its EXACTLY what I want from a suncream.I know that a product is never suitable for all, thats life, but if you burn easily, hate the feeling of 'wearing' a cream or don't like the greasy/oily feel other suncreams leave, I encourage you to give this a go.

I bought this after reading reviews on the life jacket website. It was sold as a gel / waterproof and resistant to sweating and non greasy with mostly 5 star reviews.Having used it for a couple of days on holiday I threw it in the bin.Product is NOT a gel it is the same white sun cream as I have used all my life woth the exception that it doesn't work. Having waited 30-40 mins before going into the pool. I had a quick dip and my wife laughed out loud saying it looks like someone had poured a bucket of white paint over me. It was all pouring off me.Also tried it without swimming and still sweated it out in the Spain sun.Went back to the kids suncream in the endPros - packaging looks nice...

I thought id try something different from the Garnier sport sun cream i usually buy so I bought this. Unfortunately it’s inferior as far as sweat goes - it’s very easy to burn in exposed areas where you sweat a lot. Don’t know whether it’s waterproof as i dont really trust it enough to find out.I’ve also no idea why they call it gel. It’s not a gel at all, it's the same consistency as other sun creams.

Ordered this as picture had two items. Should have read the details more as it’s just 1x item. This is also just a lotion and not a gel as stated therefore I could have got a lotion with twice the amount for cheaper from the main brands.
