Excellent everyday wear for rugged tasks
I wear a watch everyday, I rarely take it off other than to shower. I can be a bit rough with my watch as I'm always working with my hands and bumping it off if things. I have used multiple watches over the years (all solar or mechanical), this is by far my favorite for ruggedness and still being fairly sleek. Really good watch and would recommend if you are a daily watch wearing person who can be rough on your gear. The watch did take 3 days to charge before it started working.

A good, rugged solar watch.
Useful watch. A bit heavy. If you keep it in the light when not wearing it, it will stay charged. Luminous hour marks and watch hands a bit small/thin and hence a bit hard to see, but you can see if you look closely. Very rugged - good for outdoor work, travel, camping, paddling etc. All it does is keep time.

Outstanding value!
The watch defines functionality. Subtle, just the right size, it has a thick leather band that looks to survive significant "wear and tear" opportunities. A NATO band will function well here, too.It is solar powered. Frankly, this is a big reason why I purchased it. Every time a watch gets opened for a battery change is another opportunity for failure. The luminescence is very good to excellent. I need this feature, and am so happy for the attention paid to this feature. It's simplicity allows me to wear this casually and professionally.

Surprisingly ugly watch
I immediately regretted buying this watch; I wore it for one day only, and I'm pretty sure I'll only ever wear it again if I have no other functional watch on hand. I mean, it works, it tells the time, but the band is pretty awful, the face is ugly, it's too large and bulky overall, and the numbers on the face are virtually unreadable. I'm very sorry I threw away the packaging before I realized how detestable this thing actually is.

Nice, great value, different
Very nice, light, attractive. I don't use it for outdoor adventures, so I can not discuss durability.Solar charging is tricky on first charges... Leave it getting a tan for a while

Not Very Legible
This overall is a nice watch in terms of build quality for the price. I'm returning.this because there is terrible contrast between the dial and the indices. A field watch should be easily readable. This is not. In the marketing pictures, the indices look almost white against the blue dial; they are not. They have an aged look that makes them difficult to read. This is made worse by a very reflective sapphire crystal. If they use any anti-reflective coating, it is not enough. They would have been better off using an acrylic crystal as they do in their Marlin line.I really can't speak to the movement as I decided to return prior to charging the watch (it is solar and arrives uncharged because it was stuck in a dark box for quite awhile. It's possible this deserves fewer stars. I am working from the assumption it works perfectly.

A great beater watch, keeps on ticking, but does not hild 6 months worth of charge.
This one has been gettin several years of hard use and water exposure. My backyard work and hiking watch, no issues. Only fault is, it does not hold a charge several months like advertized, just keep it on the windowsill.

Gets 5 stars considering it's a Timex.
Like all Timex watches, the lume is useless. Fortunately the rest of the watch makes up for the useless lume. Solar powered, sapphire, steel case and a crew down crown and case back. What more can you ask from from Timex? If this watch had Seiko level lume it would be the perfect field watch. The nato strap was a tad short so I added a Barton Tropic strap and a Archer gunmetal 18mm buckle to match the case. Looks great.
