I must have missed that lesson in school that day, because after measuring and measuring again , and then searching, and searching for the right cover, I felt pretty good about getting this one. Well to my surprise when it came it looked very short and well, it didn't fit the suitcase I wanted it to, but it did work for another of my bags, so I didn't write it off as a total loss, still looking for the one that will fit my large suitcase. Still cant beat the quality, and the added layer of safety, then the actual looks, makes it even better, so even though I can't properly measure, I did still come out like a cat in a fish market!

I've used this for 2 round trips. I purchased the small for my carry on and it works great. It's stretchy and has a little bit of wiggle room so it's not too tight or too loose. I checked it for 3 one way flights and it held up pretty well. No holes in it yet. I will say that it took some wear on it. My luggage still ended up with some scuff marks where the cover didn't reach. It's easy to put on and take off. The only downside is that the top hole doesn't line up with the handle or extension handle. It covers them both. It's easy to reach in and grab but makes it awkward for those who don't know. There were zippers on the side for suitcases with a side handle. It seemed pretty durable and thicker than expected. Will continue to use until it fails me. I suspect the zipper and clasp at the bottom may fail after a few more round trips. I may update this later after some more trips.

Fit to my luggage and keep from damage good quality

I started with low expectations and was disappointed. You can't reasonably expect the holes for handles to match your handles perfectly when it is a one size fits all situation. But, it came with white marks on it that couldn't be wiped away. It almost looks like a black piece of fabric was sewn on the front and a dark grey was sewn on the back. It truly looks like two different pieces of cloth on each side. It fit great, though. I also bought the more expensive thickened version in a different print from the same company. It was no thicker and despite being the exact same size and on the exact same packed bag, it was far too large, showing me that quality control is seriously lacking. You might get lucky with size and fit and a reasonable quality pattern or you might not. I would start with low expectations and wouldn't purchase unless it has the free returns option. I tried both on my packed soft-sided luggage for all of one minute and immediately decided to return both.
