Such a simple device, but makes draining pasta in one pan a one-handed process. Alternatively, for larger pans, it frees up both hands to tip the pan. I like not having to dirty a colander as well as the pan I'm cooking the pasta in. At first I was worried about the strainer slipping off of the pan and dumping the pasta in the sink, but the clips were very effective in keeping it in place. It is also effective on a larger range of pan sizes than I expected.

It works very well for most uses. It forms to all of my pots and pans. Note, though, if you have a lot of food (more than a pound of beef or lots of spaghetti) you might have a problem with it spilling over the lip but if you use a spoon you can keep it from going over the edge. That said, I'd like to see "version 2.0" made where the lip was flared a bit more - it would be a welcomed improvement.Overall, a great substitution for a separate strainer and it cuts down on the space needed to store it.

Changing this review from 5 stars to 2. I really like this product and it's very effective in doing what it says it will. But after two uses, the silicone began to discolor and peel off. Something I definitely do not want in my food. I hope that this will be resolved because it is very unsafe.

It's rather flimsy and I have little confidence in the durability of this item overall. I also find that it doesn't clamp well on thicker lipped saucepans so its usefulness is somewhat limited. I'd probably not purchase it again.

WHERE WAS THIS THING FOR THE LAST DECADE OF MY LIFE?!That said, if your pots have an outer lip that curves out a bit like the cuisinart culinary pans, this is a bit of a wiggle to get on. Still does the job though.

I love this pasta strainer especially my husband who washes our dishes and stuff in the kitchen. It's so easy to use and no more washing big colander sand strainers! Happy customer and thank you!

Fits on any pan or dish, sometimes need to customized to drain only water and not food along with it
