Great home rower, especially if you're not super picky about data
The first thing I like is the small footprint, which is helpful since my rower lives in a room without much space to spare. I haven't had to bother to flip it vertically to save space, which has been nice to save myself that step before and after each use.The natural resistance of the vertical water tank is unmatched in my opinion. Most of my previous rower experience has been on Concept 2 rowers at gyms, and I'm extremely pleased with the resistance unit compared to those high-end industrial models that seem to be the benchmark for gyms and professional rowing clubs alike.Adjustability takes more time, being a water rower, but I've never been one to mess with my resistance throughout the workout, so ease of adjustment was very low on my list of priorities. The LCD screen is extremely dim, even with fresh batteries. But this hasn't bothered me since I always link my phone in order to record my workouts, so I use my phone as my display during the workout. The screen readouts for time and rpm seem to be the only reliable ones in my opinion. I've learned to ignore the stats like power (Watts) and distance (m or km), because both of them seem inaccurate based on my experience with high-end machines. My 5K goal has always been to go the distance in under 20 minutes, but in 20 minutes this rower will read out a distance of anything from 4K to 6K, so it doesn't seem to track very accurately. More inaccurate is the power readout, where I'll, for example, get a 490W readout when I'm in a slow-row rest period (should be more like ~200W), and then only jump to 530W when I'm doing a max-effort interval. And then during that max-effort period, even though I know I'm holding a continuous and steady effort, the power reading will drop back down to the low 400's while I'm still pulling hard, after which it will rise back up to the high 400's once I'm back in the rest period. It's a good thing I go more based on perceived effort and my heart rate, which as you'll read below isn't easy to track with the machine's app.My only gripe with the MyCloudFitness app is that it won't pair up to my heart rate monitor (Lezyne brand), even though the monitor is working fine and will link with all the other health apps on my phone. More universal compatibility for HRMs would be very welcome. The machine was easy to assemble, I used Loctite on all of the hardware during assembly to be safe and nearly a year in and everything's holding up great and there's nothing coming loose and there also has been zero leaking from the water tank, which is a big plus.Overall for my purposes and daily use I'm very happy with the rower given the price (cheaper now than when I bought it!) and other than the small gripes about the screen and app, I'm very happy with the performance of the machine, including the cherry on top which is the extremely nice sound the water in the tank makes, it's by far the most pleasing rower to listen to I've ever used, so it's a nice way to wake up my senses in the morning.

Incredible rower for the price!
I have owned the Fitness Reality Water Rowing Machine for 3 months now and I love it. I ordered this machine like many of you during the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to work on my cardio at home. Having not heard of Fitness Reality before, I was a little skeptical of the brand but decided it was worth the gamble since the gyms were shut down. What follows is my in depth review:Rowing:This rower works differently from your typical air rower because it uses a turbine that spins in a sealed tank of water. Not only is the resistance adjustable by adding more water, but the feel of rowing is more natural as if you are actually rowing on open water. I find this to me a much more enjoyable experience then the air rowers you find at most gyms. As a bonus, the sound of the water sloshing around is actually quite pleasing. I have not added water to adjust resistance, so I can't comment on the difference. However I am a fairly strong guy and putting the water level on 2 is plenty of resistance for me.Screen:The screen, which is battery powered, is extremely basic. It displace time, distance, calories, and strokes. To be honest though, this is all you need. I can't see a reason why you'd need much else besides a heart rate monitor, which most people these days wear on their wrist anyway. I would have liked to see a backlight, but that's a very minor complaint. I also love that it has a ridge which you can rest your phone/tablet etc. on. I typically watch youtube on my phone while I'm rowing and the time flies by.Foot Rests:One concern I noticed with other rowing machines is the foot rests coming loose or falling apart. I can confirm that the foot rests on the Fitness Reality rower do not have any of those issues. They are extremely sturdy. However, I am not a fan of the design. Although they stay firmly in place, the back brace that sits behind your ankle and above your heel is too high and too thick. Your shoe will end up getting caught in the cutout and then the brace will scrape the crap out of your ankle. The only solution I can think of is to add extra padding overtop of it, but not something you want to do on a brand new item. Personally, I've gotten used to it. But it is definitely a big design flaw for me.App Functionality:This rowing mahcine is advertised as being 'MyCloud Fitness' compatible. It's evens tamped right on the screen. Unfortunately, it is not supported. The app itself is not bad, it lets you track your weight and workouts, but without any capablity to sync to the rowing machine it is worthless to me. This is a huge issue marketing-wise, and I'm unsure why they would even advertise it if it is not supported. But there is a possibility this may change in the future.Build quality:Now here is where the majority of my complaints lie. There are quite a few quality control issues I've noticed with this machine. First and foremost, straight out of the box there are parts that have rust on them (see photos). It appears the manufacturer used paint instead of powdercoat and it was already chipping off exposing bare metal in certain areas which were rusting already. This is very concerning to me, and does not indicate the machine will have a long lifespan. However, most of the chipped/rusty elements are not vital to the structural integrity of the machine so I decided not to bother. Another issue on my machine was the bolt holes for the screen. They are not aligned correctly, and no matter what I do I could not get the screen to sit straight. So the screen and shelf for my phone are at a slight angle all the time, which is minor but really annoying if you're a bit OCD like me. Lastly, I would have liked to see Better quality rollers under the seat. While they do glide perfectly fine, they are made of some type of hard plastic instead of rubber (or actual bearings). Because of this, they have worn down a little over time and I notice some plastic shavings on the rail that weren't there initially. I don't think it's a big issue, but again it makes me question how long the lifespan of this machine will be. What I am very impressed with is the water tank and turbine itself. They are built very well, and I have not had even a drop of water leak out. I also really like that this machine can be stood up vertically so you can put it in a corner and have it out of the way completely when not in use. Conclusion:The Fitness Reality Water Rowing Machine is an excellent choice for the average person looking to get in shape. While it does suffer from a few build quality issues, it is an overall sturdy machine that functions exactly as designed. You won't find the bells & whistles from higher end machines like Concept-II, but for the price this is an absolute steal. Highly recommended!TLDR;Pros:-Great Price-Water Rowing feels natural-Solid foot rests-Can store verticallyCons:-Sub-par build quality-App is not supported-Footrests may scrape ankle

Working well
The only down side is the display which is pretty much unreadable all the time. It's hard to understand given how cheap screens are these days.Otherwise the action is smooth and after a few thousand strokes seems like it'll last a while. The water is not quite (better than an air fan, louder than something magnetic.) Headphones required or turn up the volume on the TV to blasting.

A well built rower
Disclaimer: This is my first rower and I am 73 years old. My wife and I are summer cyclists but needed something to keep in shape during the winter. The rower arrived a week early, only 4 days from my order. Be aware that it arrives in one app. 66lb package. Assembly was easy as the parts were packaged in steps that matched the instructions. All tools needed were provided but if you own metric sockets and wrench it will go faster. I completed the assembly on a Saturday and discovered the stopper for the water tank was missing. I sent an email with the information requested in the instructions which was answered on Monday and the part shipped the next day. In the meantime a cork filled in well (it is a 1 inch hole). I added app 1.5 gallons to get the tank up to #2 which works well for my wife and I. Four water treatment tablets were included so I added one and started rowing. At 15 stokes/min and slower it sounds like waves on a beach. At a higher stroke rate it gets quieter and sounds like water slipping under a hull. We have each used it 3 times a day since and while it is too soon to see if I will lose any weight I do feel like my energy level is up. It definitely uses more muscles than our old stationary bike.

Loving it very much
Have to save the customer service is great, we had an issue with a piece arriving broken and they very quickly responded and sent us a new replacement. Since it's still fairly new the only negative thing I can think of is I wish the online app gave me a free trial so I can see if the workouts on it was worth the premium of if I should just stick with the programs on the rower. But I like the water rower very much, at this point I would definitely buy it again from them.

Seit einigen Wochen in Betrieb. Also war irgendwas schief.
