HEIMDALL Emergency Whistle with Lanyard for Safety Boating Camping Hiking Hunting Survival Rescue Signaling

When kayaking in my state we are required to carry a whistle. These are loud, low profile, have lanyards, and have no metal parts to rust. There's no ball inside to whirl around so it will work in the water. The two pack gives me a new whistle and my girlfriend will be compliant when she finally hits the water.

By law I have to have one of these on me when being on the water. Don't really know if they work well because I haven't been in an emergency yet. I once ate a unripe banana as a snack while paddleboarding and my tongue felt weird. But the local sheriff doesn't think that's an emergency. So I shouldn't use it for that. But when an emergency happens I will be ready!

Tested whistles. Very loud and shrill if you blow hard. Comes with 2 whistles, 2 long nylon lanyards, and 2 short nylon lanyards and 3 clips to lock the ends of the cords in place. The cords are easy to cut to any desired length. Once you clip the clips shut over the ends of the cord that is it, you cannot open them again as far as I can tell. This means you cannot use them to change the length of your lanyards. I do wish they had made a mechanism for the lanyard length to be adjustable. The whistles have a built in belt clip that is very tight. It would difficult to get them clipped to a thick belt or thick pack straps.

I hike almost 5-6 times a week. Sometimes this is alone. I bought these as a safety feature to be kept and hopefully never used.They are loud and the colors are bright, easy to spot if you drop them

I bought these to use as safety whistles attached to each life vest on my boat. Got the different colors so my kids could pick their favorite colors for their vests. Didn't realize that it didn't come with the lanyards attached or two different length lanyards but that is a great feature that allows them to be even more personalized. Some may like short lanyards, some may like long, but this gives the option. The clips didn't come with instructions but were simple enough to figure out how to install.Great buy!

The two whistles came with two complete sets of lanyard string and clips, (long and short sets) which was a great idea.They are Superb Loud plastic whistles with no moving parts, and great for use as scuba whistles in salt water. as the will not rust.

Have tried this whistle just once , you have to blow real hard for the sound to be heard loudly - however did not notice any ear shattering sound as indicated in some other reviews
