I was making a 5 ft square cloth rug with heavy fringe when I decided to make it padded. I was so pleased when I recieved theFelt pad with rubber grip backing as it worked perfectly. i actually attched it to my rug. It stayed in place on my carpet and has just the right amount of padding.Thank you!

I'm in the marketing profession, so I'm totally ok with a little bit of exaggeration here and there. This product has made me legitimately angry because they've relied on blatant lies to sell their product. Needless to say I returned both pads I bought. This product has 2 jobs and it fails at BOTH. Read along for details.First, it's not 1/4 inch thick as described. I purchased two of these Sugarman non-slip pads for two smaller rugs, then another rug pad from a brand called Mohawk for my larger rug. Both are described as 1/4 inch thick, but if you look at the photo I attached to this review, you'll see Sugarman's pads are almost half the thickness of the Mohawk pad. Why lie? Just say it's a thinner material!Secondly, it's supposed to be non-slip. It slips. The non-slip material on the back (the flower pattern) is not a sticky rubber material, it's more like a hard slippery plastic. It does nothing on my concrete floor. Meanwhile, the other brand I bought gave me a reference point, showing me what a real non-slip rug pad is supposed to do. The coverage and material of this non-slip pattern is not enough to work - it's simply poorly designed. Then they hired an evil genius copywriter to write the product description full of lies. Ugh, what a waste of time moving furniture around for these garbage rug pads!

Thick pad but much more expensive than other rug pads available. I do not see any holding difference between this pad and the much cheaper ones.

The "non slip" does not work on our floors. I wanted to return them but I would have had to pay for shipping so we're just using them until I get better ones and these will go in the guest room or kids room.

After reading all the great reviews for this non slip rug pad, I ordered it. I will have to say that the cushioning of the pad is great. But the non slip rug pad slips every time I walk on it. I have tried placing both sides of the rug pad on the floor side, but neither side keeps my rug from slipping. I am very disappointed in this non slip rug pad. My floor is ceramic tile and this pad does not keep my rug from slipping at all.

Awesome rug pad, I used over an existing carpet, seems to stay in place so far. I did have to cut about an inch off the long end....my area rug said it was 5x8 and so is this pad but one of them was not exact, suspecting that to be the area rug as I have found that to be true many times with them. Like the nonslip dots on the back. Of good quality and thinness for over carpeting.

Using to hold area rug in place on top of carpet. Works somewhat, but does not completely hold rug in place. It's better with than without.
