It came with a lanyard, a chain, and a case for everything, perfect for bringing places. It was very easy to learn via a few youtube videos. It was finished nicely and it's not too loud so it can be played behind a door without bothering others. (Hence a perfect present for music loving kids)😁It's small but was comfortable for me- I'm pretty petite and it didn't feel to big or too smallThe only thing I could note would be that it was not tuned- you will need a tuning hammer and a app to do this. The app is free and the tuning hammer is pretty cheap as well.

just a warning to everyone saying it doesn’t work properly this cute little instrument does arrive out of tune so you will need to either already own or buy a little hammer made for that purpose. very tedious process but once tuned the key tabs stay put and it has a very lovely calming sound. the only thing I wish it had were letters engraved on the key tabs either alongside or instead of the numbers so it’s easier to remember for beginners but still a great quality instrument for the price. really fun to learn songs on

Purchased this as a stocking stuffer for my 9 yo granddaughter and she really liked it. I must admit though I was disappointed in the size, which made or a less than sound and function.

When I received it, it was completely out of tune… normal for something like this… and with one of the tuning hammers from my full-size kalimbas, I hammered the tines into tune. That was about a month ago, and the tines on this little kalimba are still in tune! I am very impressed! It comes inside a cute little case, with a lanyard, so you can wear it like a necklace. It does not come with a tuning hammer. You would have to buy one separately, or use one from another kalimba. It’s sturdy, made of solid wood, and the wood is very nicely polished. This would make a great gift for a child, or use it yourself when you’re feeling bored standing in line… it’s very quiet, so it won’t bother anyone around you. It might attract some curious attention, though. The price is great, it’s a cute, well-made little kalimba. Since this is only 8 tines, your musical repertoire will be severely limited, but it’s nice for fun. My other two kalimbas are top brand names and professional quality, with 34 and 36 tines, so I have some good comparisons to draw from in giving this review. I think this is a great buy! If you are new to kalimbas, this is a great little thing to introduce yourself to the kalimba playing method and sound!

This thing is cool but stupid and it breaks so easy it’s all made of plastic yes it is fun while it lasts but not worth the money

Got this for a gift for a friend who is a musician and likes to try other instruments out. She loves it and likes that it's easy to carry around and portable. The protective case is nice, and can fit in either a large pocket or bag easily w/out taking up much space.
