Misleading Ad, Defective Product, and Fraudulent Return Claims
As other reviewers have pointed out this is not teak wood but some cheap laminate.I was willing to overlook this, but the item was also defective. The final C note did not play any sound.I know nothing about repairing a shruti box so decided to return it.The seller approved the return request but pointed out that I had it for 20 days without raising an issue (it was a gift and not opened immediately, and the ad said returns were acceptable within 30 days) and that used product could not be returned (product was not used - just opened and verified as defective.)Return shipping was $28.44 on top of the shipping I had already paid to get the item ($65). Upon receipt of the item the seller claimed that I had sent them a box of Indian baby food (I'm not kidding - and I'm in Canada) instead of the shruti box, and refunded $15. Total cost around $278 to end up with nothing but wasted time. While I trust that Amazon will sort this out, I hope that my review can prevent other buyers from enduring the same experience with this item and seller.

Kept losing air
I did send for a replacement one so hopefully that one works and then I’ll definitely change my review. But it couldn’t keep a drone sound because it lost air so quickly. We tried to trouble shoot with little success.

Sunmica product, not the teak wood.
I gave it 3 stars because overall, it's a beautiful product. Sound is ok. However, the description is misleading about the teak wood. It is not the teak wood. It's more like composite wood laminated with the wood sheet. In India, it called "sunmica". If I knew it's sunmica, I would not order it because I like the authentic material. Pure wood. This sunmina shurti box is heavy. Pure wood product usually has the lighter weight. Besides, the white knobs printed with the name of the manufacturer were another reasons I returned it. For me, it's ugly. I would like to have the pure white knobs or the knobs with note names. But not the knobs with the manufactureras name on it.
