The children had a hard time putting the cardboard into the plastic slots of the base, as the size of the slot was much thinner than the thickness of the paper. Despite the poor grammar and spelling of the directions, the project is otherwise pretty straightforward.According to the directions, which I followed very precisely, the crystals will have completed forming after about 5-6 hours. Actually, they need about triple that. After some initial disappointment, the kids were delighted with the final results.

Got this for my daughter and she loved it! Perfect mix of science and magic! The crystals are incredibly soft and fragile so be careful when handling. We've got ours up on a display shelf and will probably be there for years to come. She still loves them!

I REALLY liked the idea but you should be FULLY AWARE wet cardboard lasts less than 24 hours. We made the mistake of setting ours up and going to bed. By early afternoon they were crumbling.NEAT science and SUPER CUTE, SHORT timeframe.

We liked the trees, it was a fun science experiment. The growth wasn’t very strong, but we just didn’t touch them.

Needs a still place for several days, so not great for rambunctious children or wild pets. They'll bloom crystals overnight and stay on the tree for days. A staple of Christmas in my household growing up and I still love them.

They "bloomed" better than I expected and it happen much quicker than I expected.

super cute, very growing fast, every few minutes you can notice a difference, do it with your kids so they can watch it growing, wont last long at least the one we got (3-4 days) it's very fragile, small movement and the "leaves" falls down

Use these for a science camp. I expected to have to wait overnight for crystal growth, but after only a couple of hours we had amazing crystals! We did this experiment outside in the summer, mid 80's and fair amount of humidity. Could be that the gentle wind increased evaporation.I'll definitely use these next year, if they are still available.The price is a little high for what you get, but the kids loved them.

So pretty! and such an easy and cool experimentthey are quite fragile, so better to put them and not touch once the crystals form. Don't even breath around them heavily lol.the best part once they are done blooming you can collect the crystals dissolve in water and fill up the trays again. The foliage will be a bit less and less every time you do the repeat but still worth doing it a few more times.

Was really disappointed. They were really small for the price. One was smaller than advertised. They also took a long time to arrive. Haven’t grown them yet.
