Glad i use this now
my mechanic said this oil dissipates heat very well and you can run your idle your bike in summer for one hour or more and the fan will never come on. i used to use diesel oils in my motorcycles, but i learned that that oil has possibly anti wear additives in a higher concentration and that is not a good thing in gasoline engines. However, everyone who reviewed this oil thinks it is actually a man made synthetic. Nothing could be farther from the truth. There is not one drop of actual synthetic base in this crude oil product, but it is HIGHLY refined. Anyone wishing to use actual synthetic base oil must buy 100% Synthetic.

Your motor will last forever!
I have used Castrol in my motorcycles, cars and trucks for many years, and it is by far the best oil. Valvoline is the only other oil that comes close to them. I have used it in an SRT4 Dodge Neon, a WRX Subaru, and a CLA-45 AMG Mercedes. None of them ever used a drop of oil, even after 90,000 miles. I have owned over 100 motorcycles (I'm 72) and the same result, not a drop of oil. V Twins, vertical twins, three cylinder and four cylinder bikes - Dirt bikes, street bikes, even bikes I raced. Didn't matter, they all never used a drop of oil. I even use it in my old C Class RV with a Chevy Duro-max motor, and not a drop. FYI, I only use 100% synthetic oil, and I always buy the best oil filters designed for Synthetic oil. I also change it every 5K miles.

Slippery oil.....
Switched over to using this oil in my 2007ZX-10R. Seems to have helped the shifting be a little smoother. After putting this oil in my bike I ended up having a leak coming out of my valve cover gasket. I rode about 200 miles round trip and when I got home I noticed my bike had oil all down the left side of my bike. Ofcourse I was like "WTF". So after I took off all the plastics and cleaned all the oil up I grabbed a chair and sat down and started up my bike. I sat and watched to see where the oil was leaking from and sure enough I had a leak coming out of my valve cover gasket. After researching the forums I found out that the 2007 ZX-10R were known for having a leak develop from the valve cover gasket over time. My bike had only 9000 miles on it so I guess it was time to start leaking. I only tell this story in my review because prior to this oil change my bike never leaked oil. After talking to one of my buddies who is a motorcycle mechanic. He said that if there is any slight impuriti in a gasket, that a good full synthetic oil will find its way through it. I guess this oil is pretty good because it sure did find it way out of my valve cover gasket pretty quick. I ended up replacing the valve cover gasket a few weeks later and the leak was fixed immediately. The bike runs strong and the motor is quiet and seems to run a little cooler. So far so good. I think the oil is good stuff. I just had to have a leak develop to find out. Try this stuff out and I am sure you will like it. Hopefully you won't have to fix any leaks though. ;)

Great motorcycle oil
Purchased this Castrol motorcycle oil after having a hard time finding reasonable fully synthetic motorcycle oil locally at a reasonable price. There's not a lot you can say about oil, but my Kawasaki really prefers a good fully synthetic which seems to improve the 1-2 gear shift, and this oil works beautifully. The six quarts includedi in this box will take care of two oil changes making this a good value at the price.
