Neil Gaiman
Neil Gaiman realy that's enough said. 💕 The book version we read to my tummy for our first little human.. (the begining was a little creepy being pregnant but otherwise amazing story as always...) I was glad to find a Graphic novel version since I started Sandman around 12 I thought it would be a fun intro to my sons at some point.. 😁💕

I just wish he could go home now and then!
I got this as a gift...and then it was a real wrench to give up: I'll have to buy one for me. The story follows the general idea of Kipling's Jungle Book, with the protagonist being a very-recently orphaned boy taken in and raised by the inhabitants of a graveyard, along with a transient-and-friendly vampire. This graphic novel cleaves closely to the book; any written description left out is amply filled in by the artwork--which is lavish and lovely and affecting. An unusual feature of this graphic novel is that the chapters are drawn by a variety of artists. This can be a bit jarring at times, as the faces and expressions of the characters change noticeably from one chapter to the next. Nevertheless, the overall theme and feel of the book is maintained throughout.

Good for the kids
My boys love neil gaiman. I’ve been reading him for years. This was a cool way to get one of the slower readers in the family interested in reading more.

Sheer Brilliance
This is very simple yet absolutely amazing story. I mean there were no multiple story lines or complicated subplots or different shades of any character, in fact you can read different chapters as individual short stories (except last 2 off-course). Yet collectively they make a brilliant book. It had mystery, innocence, drama, adventure and a tinge of horror but the biggest thing was it was all balanced and in a flow. Not even a single page was absurd or forced/stretched or uninteresting. I loved the characters, not only bod and Silas but even the less important ones like Miss Lupescu or Liza Hempstock. Though some events were a bit predictive but they were beautifully written, I specially loved "Danse Macabre." Similarly the climax was not jaw dropping but it was more than decent. I loved the ending though, it was perfect. The illustrations by Russell were simply superb and they give you the feeling as if you are living with bod instead of reading about him. This graphic novel deserves all the praises and recognition. MUST READ

Brilliant!
If you have read the book itself then this is a glorious supplement. If you haven't then this is a fantastic introduction and was the reason the I read the book itself, a lovely story for any age from 12 upwards (Iended up reading this to my 12 year old son)
