BachmannWorld's Greatest Hobby Track Pack N Scale

Unbelievable value. Billed as individual set but I used as an additional track. So good, I have already bought my 2nd set

I used this as a good starter kit. There is enough track to make an interesting layout. I am happy with my purchase.

The fact that it comes with four turnouts (two left and two rights) makes it a great deal for the price. It is easy to form a nice track. As usual, these sets have more curves than desirable and less straight track than needed. The DVD adds nothing to the value: first, nowadays there is no reasonable way to watch it. Second, on YouTube (for example) one can find plenty of more reliable videos about every single matter about N scale. Fully recommended, but I suggest to wait for a better price( I myself got it in sale, which indicates the price still a little high).

This is a great track pack! Like always Bachmann EZ track is a good system. I only have one gripe with this pack, about the remote turnouts.Anyways...The good:SO MUCH TRACK!!!It has enough track for any beginner model railroader. The only thing I wish it would cone with are some 15 degree turnsBachmann EZ track is easy to assemble. Even though it might not be the best for more expierienced railroaders because of limited customization, it is (in my oppinion) the best for starting your railroad.The bad:How the heck do the remote turnouts work? Yes, I know that you can use them manually, but I cannot get the remote part to work. It looks like I need the “A” section to control it as well as the b section. If somebody will tell me how the heck you do this, I will update tha rating to 5 stars.

I wish Amazon would give more detail on what is inside the box because this is a great track pack. After buying an N scale starter set (reviewed seperatly) I was looking into expanding the track layout. This track is Bachmann N scale nickle-silver EZ track and includes twenty 11.5 inch radius curves, nine 5 inch straights, one 10 inch straight, two remote left turnouts, two remote right turnouts, four turnout controllers, two end-of-track bumpers and the necessary wiring. The pack also includes a DVD on building an elaborate model railroad. The pack does NOT include a power supply, speed controller, locomotive, or rolling stock. When assembled the track is a kidney shaped oval with a by-pass on one end and a switch yard on the other end. The layout fits on a 30 inch by 60 inch table.

This was to be part of a gift along with a Bachmann engine set. The engine set came damaged and poorly assembled. I had to return that and purchased a Kato set. So, this additional Bachmann track set was of no use. This has no bad reflection on the seller, only Bachmann.

Great way to take the first step beyond the trainset. Pays for itself just because of the remote control switches. NOT for little kids or people who have problems with eye/hand coordination or dealing with fine tolerances. My wife is also a model railroader. She wanted to try a new scale, and this, along with the Bachmann DCC Golden Spike set (includes the basic Bachmann DCC power plant, and TWO locomotives, which in themselves pay for the set) was the perfect introduction to a new scale and a new technology. If you do this, you will need to come up with a 16 V AC power source for the switches as it is not included in either set; any regular trainset power pack will suffice.

I ordered this pack because Having severe Arthritist I was having problems with other track. I love this track for its ease of putting together and I was most impressed with the layout. Some told me that I would have trouble with the turnouts. I did not find this the case as they work beautifully. I will be purchasing more for my additions in the near future.With the addition of ballast you can not tell that it is Ez-track. A Great product.
