Better than many but not as good as some
It's hard to find a pillow that is soft enough that will not crush and flatten out. These are soft, so your ears don't hurt if you sleep in the same position for long. But they do flatten under the weight of the head but can be wadded up and shaped as you wish.

These are NOT like the hotel pillows people mentioned in other reviews... they are very flat and have almost no cushion in them.
