Pour Over Benchmark
This is the benchmark for pour over coffee making IMO. Its well made, easy to use, and filters are readily available. Comes with decent carafe and starter filter kit. Great investment to add to your coffee brewing collection or to start your pour over journey. This brewer simply produces a good cup of coffee. Its design, glass thickness, and size all contribute to a near perfect coffee experience. Clean up is easy and this stores as a system with minimal space. This is a no-brainer purchase.

A great pour over system! My new favorite. :)
Overall extremely nice pour over brewing system! We also own a CoffeeGator pour over w/metal filter and a Bodum french press. Hario’s build quality is at least as good as its conpetitors, and without breaking out the micrometer, the glass walls of the Hario 02 carafe feels thicker and more robust than the CoffeeGator’s (the Hario is easier to clean too, larger diameter opening). Its comparable to the Bodum french press’s glass vessel. Not sure why other reviewers stated the carafe was weak, it appears about as robust as single layer glass carafes can be made without making them thick like Pyrex vessels. The pour over part of the system is fast to brew and provides smoother coffee vs metal filtered systems. Definitely use finer grinds with this setup. My only complaint would be the plastic band and handle on the carafe. It is solid but feels a little on the flimsy side, not an issue in handling (anything violent enough to break the handle will break the carafe anyway), but I like to clean things thoroughly and it is not easily removable for cleaning. But it does not touch coffee directly and so far there is no buildup under the handle’s band, so time will tell. We drink out of standard American style coffee cups and get about 2 1/2 cups per carafe, perfect for us. This system is used exlusively by some of the best coffee shops in my town. I see why now.

Good overall
About 300ml , good end diameter so not too wide and not too narrow, therefore great coffee brewer, good pouring spout

Very good quality, but two things to note to avoid breaking
The entire kit is over very good quality. However, the server is thin and can be easy to break. To avoid breaking it you have to worry about thermal shock and compression cracking. To avoid thermal shock, when you poor the hot water through the coffee grinds make sure you place the server onto something that transfer heat in a gentler way, such as a towel, but I personally place it on my wood cutting board as wood is a lot less likely to cause thermal shocking. Secondly, since the glass server is so thin it can break from compression, to avoid this you can hold some of the weight of the ceramic piece or make sure you don't load too much water into the ceramic piece at once. When the glass server begins to heat up and its under too much pressure from the ceramic piece, its more likely to crack or shatter from compression. It's a very good kit, especially for the price. I highly recommend this as I think pour overs are better than most methods for preparing coffee. I hope this review helps.

Great
This kit will make the best possible coffee. It's only limited by the coffee you use.

Low-Tech Perfection
My old-fashioned coffee pot died one sad morning in about 10 years ago. That was when everyone I knew was switching to the Keurig machines. I was in the process of deciding what I wanted to do – replace my traditional pot, become a coffee pod person, or something altogether different - when I learned about pour over. I tried it and never went back. It’s low-tech perfection. I can easily control the strength of my brew. And my coffee always tastes very fresh and bright – never “muddy.” More recently I bought a second Hario 02 set so that I can make two pots when my coffee-loving friend comes over. (Yes, we each get our own full pot to drink while we visit – mmm… coffee!) I cannot tell which set I’ve used daily for 10 years and which set is a little more than a year old. I know some reviewers have mentioned the fragility of the glass, but that has not been my experience. I don’t treat it any differently than any other glass in my kitchen. Cleanup is a breeze. Most days I just give it a quick rinse after my morning coffee. About once a week, I run it through the dishwasher. Again, I still can’t tell a difference between the older one and the newer one. This is very economical both in the reasonable upfront cost and in the life of the product. I order my filters on Amazon, too – and they also are inexpensive. And all that makes me happy because I would rather spend my coffee money on high quality coffee than on the contraption used to brew it.

Great Way to Make Coffee Without Plastic
Great way to make coffee without mixing hot water and plastic. The glass pieces are well built, but the plastic plate cracked within the first two weeks of daily use as other reviewers stated. Only complaint is that it does not keep the coffee as warm as the previous coffee maker.

Everything was broken and there wasn't enough airbags, so it seems like things were going around freely in the box

Love the clean, simple design of this pour-over coffee maker. The glass holder feels way safer than the plastic one I had before, which smelled like it was melting. Made in Japan—great quality and peace of mind!

Best equipment to brew coffee. The taste blooms like a flower. I can feel every notes and flavours of the coffee with this brewer. I tried the same beans with french press and v60, and I must say the taste is like heaven and hell. It is easy to use, but hard to master ngl, and the size is perfect. Functional as well.
