This is "powdered" saffron, not saffron powder. Big difference: saffron powder is pollen from Spanish crocuses. These are pistils--"threads"--that are ground up to look like saffron powder. It's far less potent than the real thing, and not nearly as desirable. Yes, when I re-read it after it arrived, the blurb says "Saffron Powdered"--a subtle but important difference.Not worth the price in my opinion.

Delivery was very prompt, and the quality of the saffron was first rate. Very pungent, so I assume it was very fresh and, as they claimed absolutely pure. I wouldn't hesitate to order from this company again.

Love it. I use a little bit in some hot water and honey to make saffron tea. Great taste and healthy.

The bottle is only 1/4th or less full of the Saffron powder. I have used Spanish Saffron my whole life, this is outrageously expensive. Get a 1oz can of pure Spanish Saffron for $58 on Amazon, and any clean jar for your mixer, and use full strands or grind to required consistency..more bang for the buck.

I just received this . the picture appears you get close to half a jar of saffron . the jar I got didn't even go to the bottom of the label. I ended up with about half as much shown in the picture. maybe one teaspoon if that .

Very good, expensive though, packaging satisfactory.
