Solid lateral support -does not inhibit general movement
Purchased to support interior left knee pain that is likely related to sprained MCL or tendinitis. Used for skiing 10 out of 12 days and it worked great. Offered great support and prevention of internal rotation or flexing. Did not inhibit skiing at all and support gave added and necessary confidence to the endeavor.

Fantastic choice I wear it delivering for fedex all day.
Almost a month now my knee feels great. I can even run up stairs skipping every other step again. Absolutely no complaints on this purchase.

Good Quality
This brace is a lot. Provides a lot of support but not as much for routine walking type of exercise. Returned it as it was more than I needed. Good quality.

It might work if you have skinny calves. But if you have muscle down there it’ll stab it.
I really wanted this thing to be all it was cracked up to be.In shorts the Velcro straps cut my other leg, and the lower portion of the brace aggressively stabs into my calf when I’m walking. The brace is made of nice material and very heavy duty. The straps should all end on the left side (for left leg and right side for right) with the Velcro facing outwards, and the lower metal hinge should be heavily padded, not just shoved in a heavy duty sleeve.I really wanted this thing to be better than the McDavis but it’s not. It’s more comfortable if I’m laying down not doing anything, but that’s not why I bought it lol.

The best secure, simple, safe and less bulky, the most severe knee and leg injuries and fractures
Best brace so far for my severe Distal Femur Fracture.I have had bulkier braces, and that actually made them unsafe because they were so clumsy. This one is still a little bulky but I have not found one less so.ALSO this race does not slide down your leg like most of the other braces. It does not slide down because one of the straps is just above the top of the calf muscle which prevents it from sliding down.ALSO this I one of the easiest braces to put on. You lose it on your leg, so you don’t have the hassle of velcro-ing the brave together, it is already together. And the 4 Velcro straps are in place and just needs seconds to tighten them to your liking.ALSO the FULLSTOP metal braces on each side are not complicated and should stop a hyper-extension or severe instability of the knee area.

The Full Stop - Hinged Knee Brace came without HINGES (insert)
Needed brace for son's knee injury - to prevent further injury. It came without hinges - so essentially is just a $275 Knee Sleeve. Reported to Amazon and awaited a replacement.Amazon quickly responded and the FULL STOP HINGED brace came the day after reporting issue of no hinges included. This second shipment ALSO HAD NO HINGES. Do not waste your time with this product. Gave it one star - b/c I couldn't give it zero. Waste of time and energy - and worse - had to buy a supposedly inferior product from a sporting goods store. The whole purpose of purchase was to protect my son - and the ineptitude on part of Don Joy kept him from being protected as promised before a big game. We just have to go forward with the off the shelf cheaper model that at least does what it says.

Great product but terrible fitting guide.
The brace is one of the best for a serious ACL injury but dang, could they please fix the sizing chart? My wife injured her ACL and we carefully measure her leg 6" above, at, and below the knee as requested and she fell at the bottom end of the size range for a Medium but it would not fit. I did notice other people complaining that the sizes run small but to be at the bottom end of the size range and it still not fit needs to be addressed. We replaced the medium with a large and it fit but still tighter than expected. My son had this same brace about eight years ago and it had several different angle adjustment stop plates that allowed you to customize how straight (even slightly hyperextended) the brace would mechanically be allowed to go so I was disappointed to see they don't have that option anymore. Still, if you want maximum stability for serious knee injuries, this is the one to get.

Measure your leg, don’t guess like all the bad reviewers!
I read the directions which say, measure you leg., therefore I did (2X for good measure) I’m the exact size my measurements said I would be. Their fitment is clearly correct. My guess people think they wear a size small pant they, wear a small brace. Absolutely not. I wear a S/M pant, I’m 5’3 137lbs and I’m in a size large brace. Just for reference. I definitely noticed the feeling of stability while wearing. Although this will not stop all dislocations, it will get the major ones! I have a completely torn ACL with a meniscus tear and massive bruising of the tibia from an agressive dislocation. I can’t have surgery for 3/4 months and I have a busy schedule. I have used Don Joy in the past for my other knee (ACL reconstruction & meniscectomy) but it was a custom. Honestly I don’t feel a lot of difference in stability between the custom and this one. Obviously fit and finish but this is a quality piece for the price. Fits like a glove. I did adjust it about every hour. But that’s to be expected.I’ll reiterate, just measure your leg properly and don’t guess. You won’t have to worry about a return if you do that.
